"Perfect Lists" Achievement Policy
02.23.07 - The Monsters
We would like to mention one of our policies that we have regarding achievements, our "Perfect Lists" Policy. Unless the achievement information is 100% complete we absolutely will not put it up, even if we get undisputed proof that the list is correct. Without all of the required items, it just isn't a real list. Keep in mind that when we do "Achievement Sneak Peeks" the information is still 100% complete, only the achievements are put up in several different updates as per the request of the Developer. Regardless, incomplete lists are lists that lack any of the following:

Name
Image (important, but can be either greyscale or color)
Point Total
Description

We decided a long time ago that quality is much better than quantity, thus the reason for this rule. We've set a de-facto standard that many find very hard to follow, which we secretly kind of like. This makes us the Mecca or possibly even the Buddha of achievements, but that does sound a little selfish and egotistical. We'll just go with "the only site that does it right." Is that better? Eh, probably not. Whatever though, you get the idea.

Even with this rule, we still provide the achievements first 95% of the time. One title might slip through the cracks on us, but the majority of them will have their achievements devoured by our readers first. See? Our users, which are made up of a big hunk of YOU, are actually the selfish ones. You guys get all these brand-spanking new achievement lists all to yourselves, at least 3-4 weeks in advance, although we will occasionally put up lists much earlier than that. Who said we never gave you guys anything? :)

Our community is an amazing one and we would be doing everyone a disservice if we provided you with incomplete information. Doing anything else would be a sign of desperation for page views, which we simply will not allow. We're always looking to increase the traffic we serve out, but we would never do such a shameless thing to make it happen. You wouldn't accept half a cheeseburger and part of a coke, would you? OK, that one might be debatable since we find it hard to turn down ANY food. Let's try that again. Would you want an audio signal for your Xbox 360 and not a video signal or vice versa? No, you wouldn't because you are only being given half the experience.

We currently receive a very large amount of traffic every day and we absolutely will not sacrifice our credibility in an attempt to put up information first, especially when that information did not come from our own research. For everyone sending us incomplete achievement lists, continue to do so as we do enjoy reading the 150+ e-mails we get a day (seriously). Just don't expect to see it pop up on the site.

Please don't take offense if you send us information and we don't accept it either. You can be at peace knowing that we do read every single piece of mail we get, except for the many, many offers of "All Super Cheap Meds to Make Girl Happy" and the ever popular "Get All You Software Cheap $5!1!! Photoshop." A $1500 dollar piece of software for just $5 bucks? Sold. Come 3 weeks later, we sit here and wonder why it is all in Russian. Sometimes a good deal is too good to be true.
