No. Mine has only frozen twice since I got it on launch day. Once during CoD2 and once during NFS:MW.

I guess because Microsoft has conditioned the masses that machines are suppose to freeze up constantly, we don't think twice when our 360's are misbehaving.

Our 360's rarely freeze up. Our computers are all Apple, so those don't give us grief either. Microsoft for gaming, Apple for work. Though with all those spiffy duo-core intel based macs that are shipping now, even Penny Arcade is now converted and hopefully, games won't always be so slow to the Mac platform in the near future.

He's right. Just be happy you have a 360, please. My friend's 360 broke and Microsoft wouldn't take it back because it still worked, it just shut down every 5 minutes and got really hot so he had to take it back to Target where he first got it. Now he has to call back to Target every day to see if they got one in.

Besides, they are going to send you a refurbshed one anyways, it'll only have the drive if it is new(my assumption).

About the whole fire thing, the whole reason they;re giving him all this stuff is because the system caught on fire due to poor construction of the console, probably a spark or something. I think the whole games for the rest of the year is just so he wont sue thier asses

Yeah, thats why they can come out - so you can bring all your saves to a friends xbox or something and play your games. But whoever your selling it too doesnt have to know you are switching the drives. You can even add internal HDDs if you fell like opening up your case and modding it. But I would not recommend it.

Mine actually broke on me, and getting the quieter drive didn't heal the pain of being without a 360 for 2 weeks.
