Finished game without fighting Gruntilda?

I played BK on N64 previously but never completed it, so I bought it on XBLA and completed it yesterday. I havn't got all the jiggies and such but enough to get into the Furnace Game. So I got into the Furnace game and completed it and saved Tooty, but then Gruntilda says something about not being able to catch her coz of the credits, so I watch half the credits and press B by accident, cancelling them, which returns me to Main Menu screen with no battle against Grunty, and I know for a fact you have to battle her after the Furnace. Could be a simple mistake, but did I have to watch all of the credits to battle her or is there something else? Could someone let me know before I go doing the pain-in-the-arse Furnace game again? Thanks!:)

You need more puzzle pieces, after the furnace game you go up the stairs to the right and have a bunch of puzzle pieces and make the picture of the witch

I forget the exact number of jiggies you need in total (haven't played this game in a long time, I only own the N64 version as well), but I know for a fact that you need about 800 notes to get through the note door, and 25 jiggies to complete the picture to enter the fight.

If you've got 890 notes I think it is, and 4 extra jiggies, you can also unlock the red life room which contains the smallest picture in the game and upon its completion, doubles your life bar.

hey for some reason i can not do the bird bomb move,the move u need to press switches its frustrating and i cant proceed any farther because of it

all u have to do is go back to the quiz room.. gruntildas annoying quiz and then go up the stairs to the right and if u have enough jiggys then u can fill in the picture puzzle! hop in the cauldron and get ready for the fight! good luck! =]
