Not seen much but it's looking pretty sweet. Just saw a copy of the sequel movie and it was AMAZING!

Looked through a game guide while shopping at Gamestop, it looks really good. The figurine that comes with pre-orders is awesome. Will pick up my copy tomorrow, so I will post something soon!

I've finished the first 3 levels and I'd say the game is fairly good. Dismembering enemies in focus mode is definitely a treat. One thing to note is that you cannot switch the camera's x-axis and the game is set up so when you push right on the stick, you look left. It can be overcome fairly quickly but it might be an issue for some people. Anyway, it's not as good as something like Ninja Gaiden 2 but definitely good for a rental. I am probably going to end up regretting dropping $60 on it though. I have a feeling 1000/1000 can be earned in 15 hours or so...

Just got the game last night. Played two levels. I like it, it has lots of blood and hearing Samuel L Jackson swearing is awesome! Even has some nudity. I never thought I would like slicing up half naked women but after they started kicking my ass I got past that! The only thing is the X-axis control being backwards in comparison to most games. Like the last poster said, it can be overcome but is wierd when you first play the game. It is a definite bargainbin or rental if you are not familiar with the cartoon, a good $60 buy if you are a fan of the cartoon series.

Afro Samurai is the ****. I dont have the game yet, I have heard that the camera is awful. The reviews are between 6/7 out of 10

I just got my copy from GameFly on Sat. just started it am about 60-70% thru game and I really like it. The visuals are incredible looking. The gameplay has some nice touches and finishing moves to the usual hack n' slash formula...
I would recommend to fans of the anime or people who enjoy action type games.. I'm gonna buy this for sure when it's a bargain bin title for cheap..

Afro Samurai is a really good game; however not an excellent game. Agreed, the camera lacks. Not having the option to change the X-inverted viewing is a negative, but I personally love everything else about the game. The video and audio are great. Sam Jackson, Kelly Hu, and Ron Perlman voicing the characters is super. The storyline, as well as plenty of slice and dice, blood, and humor are reflective of the anime. The game is mature; partial nudity and profanity may be a bit much for some of the "kids" wanting to play. I actually died once staring at the topless sword-women instead of fighting. :D The achievements are tough, but not impossible. I will enjoy many hours of this game!

how tough is it on hard mode? Its nice they let the stats carry over, but was just wondering if hard mode is NG2 tough or Quantum of Solace tough?

I rented this and I just could not get in to it. Camera angle was annoying and for me it just felt like a violent Kung Fu Panda. Maybe if I was in to the anime I would of enjoyed it more. But in my opinion I didn't like it.
