I have a fair amount of golds already, but I especially have a hard time with the rail challenges. Anybody have any tips on making the most points with rails and small distances? Thanks

That game is button mashing at its finest. All I did was just jump and mash buttons as quickly as i could on rails, over and over, to get as many multipliers up as possible. I found the hardest for Snow God was some of the kitty glitter challenges but we all have our own personal struggles. Not sure why I'm trying to help you though after you accuse my tips or being "retarded" and exposing "exploits". :(

Haha, because goodness is in your heart! I will go back and change retarded to "slightly mentally handicapped".

I was just saying its kind of retarded to help people cheat their way to the top, especially if you want to hold that number 2 spot that Graywolf is so intent on getting. Youre just making it harder for yourself, from a competition standpoint. Its like if the US snowboarding team came over to the Japanese and were like, "So if you want the gold, you should do this..."

But then again, if no one helped me on a few achievements, Id be back in the 16000s still, so... Maybe I should learn to share!

Anyway, the kitty challenges I actually liked. I cant rail worth a damn, but I can pick up kitty poo like nobodies business!

I'd prefer if all the achievements were very challenging like PDZ on DArk Agent, etc. because than getting gamerscore would be harder, and I wouldn't have to play EA games just because their points are EZ to stay in the top ranks. In my opinion, playing EA sports games for points, it no different from quitting out of games to get free wins, etc. TheGrayWolf is already ahead of me, I knew I wouldn't be able to hold my rank forever but I hoped to hold it til oblivion came out. I've had a lot to do the past while with gigs and school, and I've b een on here quite a bit.

Keep turning the snowboard while grinding (left and right trigger), and attempt to perform a couple of "grind tricks" (press X, Y or B twice in quick succession).

If you're strugging even after doing the above, try and jump at least once to boost that multiplier, as has been advised already..

Buy it, buy it, buy it!!

I rented it for a week, and liked it so much that I decided to return the rental copy, buy it and attempt to finish it in my own time.

The easiest way to complete the tough rail challenges is to build a rail leading up to the rail that counts. Simply grind all the way down the first rail, onto the second to increase your multiplier...

I noticed with the rails, moving the board left/right quickly racks up the points.

Throw in a couple flips on the rail (jump) really racks them up.

I do agree the rails are the worst part of the game - hate losing my balance and hearing the "cracking" sound - sends chills down my spine just typing and thinking about the sound

Haha, so funny you should say that. I remember that sound making me cringe every time I heard it. And it wasn't just because I was wiping out, I think they stole that sound from condemned or something because it sounds really painful =p

Found it to keep me entertained for hours and hours, plus has an awesome soundtrack. I finally stopped at lesser snow goddess, as there are a couple of challenges that just aren't worth the hour or so each working to get the gold on. For me, its the slolam and mobilize challenges that hold me back. I need about 10 more gold medals to unlock the Supreme Snow Goddess achievement, but I've decided to call it good enough and moved on to Full Auto.

FWIW, the amped soundtrack is available off 2ksports.com and will keep you grinding all the day at work with over 300 indie tracks, now if only I could turn off the hip hop tracks like I can in the game....

dont forget to "impress the people" on each mountain. even though you dont get a gold you still have to do it in order to get snow god. i was in the same boat until i realized this. i went to one of the smaller mountains(4th or 5th one i think), impressed the people and got it.

Yeah, this one has me stuck too (only just come back to it after playing other games for a couple months).

Its on DC Mtn Lab, called Main Street Drag.

Any pointers. As Jiggy said, need 6K. Best I can do is between 4 and 4.5K

Thanks

Man, do I fell like an idiot now. Just did it easy as Jiggy. As other posts say, use the park builder.

I put a super big jump over the small jump thats there. This give you a heap more air/travel and makes it so so so easy.

Hope it helps you. Got me my lesser snow god :D

Most of the challenges for snow god are easy. However personally I found the kitty cleanups to be very frustrating. The last one I almost gave up on as I was stuck but I ended up getting gold with 0.4 secs to spare. Learning the line whilst failing miserably is probably the best tip I could give with those.

For the others like high scores just use the park editor to make huge jumps in succession then go into slow-mo focus mode(when you slightly hold the analog to the left or right while doing a trick) then butter to the next huge jump and repeat. That will make snow quests incredibly easy. For media challenges if you have trouble just build a huge jump or rail before the challenge and you'll find them very easy.
