Only suggestion I'd have is that whoever want's the achievement has already tried to get it at least once already. Most of the viral achievements are pretty darn easy to get because most everybody will have them. I would just be annoyed if before even trying that someone went straight to boosting. Just a suggestion, and an impossible one to police really, so there you go :).

Honestly, I don't think this will work. The majority of people that need these achievements will most likely go directly to the achievement buddy forum and completely bypass this thread.
But alas, it doesn't hurt to give it a go. I believe there are several for NFS:Carbon as well. If you'd like to confirm, you can put my name down as I believe I have them.

This is true I suppose. Well I shall give it a short time and yeah if it fails no worries. I will update need for speed tomorrow.

Well I admit I just discovered this on the Duke Nukem 3d forum but maybe you can replace the achievement buddy thread with this? The only concern I see for this as well as the achievement buddy is if someone stops playing a game then why would they head back to a forum for a game they're done with? I like this idea alot as it'll help with boosting or help someone who's friends do not have the same games [which I'm in this boat]. I also like the fact that if you get help that you need to help someone in return.

I hope I am not putting the wrong message out but this is not for boosting any random achievement but is only for the viral achievements such as 'beat someone who has beaten a developer' etc.
All other boostings requests MUST remain in their respective forums.

No no you are definitely not. I put this in the other thread but I misunderstood what you were suggesting [thanks for the clarification wildcat] so I posted in both threads. Sorry for wasting space here, if you want to delete these posts please go ahead so I don't steer anyone in the wrong direction.

It's no problem my fault if anything. I am deleting all posts in that other thread anyways to keep it all to a list if that makes sense.

Maybe the respective viral thread for a game could just be stickied in the bb sub-forum? Also had another question since I'm helpin out with THP8: it's not up to me to go lookin for whoever gets on the "I need help" list right? The way I figured, I'd put my name out there and whoever sees it can come looking for me - seems like it'd be the best way too.

Either way really. If you see someone and feel like messaging them then by all means I think at the moment as it is such a small scale then it can work either way.
Also if anyone knows of any more viral achievements then please feel free to post them.

I think the viral achievement help is a great idea. Yeah, I could have posted in the various forums looking for individual help on each one, but having one place just for these types of achievements is handy, to me anyways. I'm in a situation for the last 2 and a half years where broadband is very limited to me. I had broadband and LIVE at my old house, but since I moved, I haven't had highspeed net. I still have LIVE, but the only way I'm able to use it is to pack my Xbox n stuff up n take it to the rents house to bum off their highspeed. So, I went from being on LIVE way too much to admit to barely being on at all. The viral achievements I don't have due to this (as well as a TON of online multiplayer chieves). What I usually do is set a date/time a day or 2 ahead of when I'm going to take my stuff to get on LIVE, let my friends know, and try to get online chieves then. So basically, a huge thanks in advance to everyone who helps me out with these. Now, time to PM some peeps to set up some times.
And if anyone else gets in on this, I'll hook you up no problem. Just PM me and work something out.
Also...
Jack, please remove my name from GRAW. After looking over the list, I realized something VERY important. I don't have GRAW anymore lol. Nasty divorce, you dont even wanna know. But, if I do come across a copy from a friend or something, I'll jump in again. Thanks Jackel for the offer, even though I can't take it right now.

I think this is a great idea :)
Although I would like to throw out a few thoughts on making this "Initiative" a little more user friendly. I think it'd be a great idea to make a thread in each game forum that requires a viral achievement. Then sticky the thread and redirect it to the official Initiative thread. ( Example : [sticky] Need the 'Meet Your Maker' achievement? ) This way, a person who has no knowledge of this thread may find it and can get his/her achievement effortlessly.
Also, maybe organizing the thread a little nicer to make it easier to navigate would be awesome. Perhaps making the title of the game a bigger font than the subheadings and bolding 'Users Offering Help'. This could help make each separate game a little less cluttered. Linking each person needing and offering help to their A360P profile link would help create communications between the two a little more easier. Linking the names also changes the color of their name which also helps with the removing some of the clutterness.
Alphabetizing would also be nice :p

I have bolded the titles and linked each name to the profiles. If any of th3em are incorrect please let me know. I will alphabetize them at some point and maybe put a thread in each respective game buddy forum although there is the global announcement.
I will also add colours at a later date I think.

From now on i will only help members who add their name to list as nobody im helping (apart from a couple) are offering their help to pass along virals. I do not mind helping but think others iv helped should be also passing the virals along so its not left to 1 person....!!!
