Back when Barry Zito's fastball could hit 90, it was him. Loved to watch him throw that 12-6 curveball. I really enjoy watching Beuhrlepitch because he works really fast. Pretty much any ace excites me and Mariano Rivera and Zumaya are the closers I love to watch.

Greg Maddux. Just classic. To pitch that well at the end of a career and to have such control is just beautiful. And the changeup! Most of my pitching style has been directly modeled after Maddux, although I've been told my curveball is very Barry Zito-esque. Really anyone under Leo Mazzone was amazing, but that's another topic.

Josh Beckett. I loved how he dominated in Florida and how he's doing now in Boston. Very consistent pitcher.

Mine would definitely be one full of cold, sweet tea. I hate baseball, sorry, couldn't resist responding to the thread though.

I think all of mine are probably those that have gone through the Sox (except for Clemens he can burn in hell). Pedro, Wakefield, Lester, Beckett. I always liked seeing old reels and reading about Nolan Ryan as well but he is before my time.

I also would have mentioned greats such as Nolan Ryan and Cy Young but they were long before my time.

Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain. Now if only the Giants had some sort of hitting to get some runs on the board. (I say this the day after they put up 13 for Sadowski, but that never happens for the Giants.)
I used to like Jason Schmidt until the traitor went to the south.

Hate Baseball, but I always liked Randy Johnson's amazing mustache and mullet.

I would agree but I like baseball...minus the PED users. Cold, sweet tea and baseball...maybe the Red Sox beating the Yanks? That is a great day. I like Beckett and Lester. Of course I have no problem admitting that is a little biased. However, Beckett is typically a shut down pitcher in the post-season and Lester, after coming back from cancer, just amazes me.

I completely forgot about that story. One of the greatest comeback stories in all of sports history. Ranks right up along with Lance Armstrong.

Beckett was just sick today. Either that or the Royals entire team forgot how to hit. On a few of the pitches, they were swinging at stuff that was nowhere near the strike zone.

I'd have to say right now Lincecum and Cain are my favorite to watch. One of the best 1-2 punch in the majors right now.
Lincecum just struck-out 15 last night on a complete game win. That guys is definitely earning his nickname, "The Freak". ;) I'd be surprised if one of them doesn't win the Cy Young this year. If they could get more runs behind them, they can certainly do it. I'll have to see how good the acquisition of Garko from Cleveland is gonna turn out in terms of run support.

I'm a huge fan of Rich Harden. I was glad when we traded for him. Also a huge fan of Wood before all the injuries.

Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz are my three favorite pitchers. Growing up watching them dominate in the 90's pretty much "inspired" me to want to play baseball.
