What is the story behind your gamertag?
I wish I had an interesting story for you guys, but there really is none. Kelly is my name. My middle name is D. Growing up I got tired of people guessing and joking what the D stood for, so that was where the two e’s came into play.
How long have you been gaming and what drew you towards the xbox 360?
I have been playing at least some type of game since I can remember. My dad had the old consoles. So I would play pitfall on the Atari. Then I pretty much followed the Nintendo line up until game cube. I figured I’d step more out of the kiddie zone and got an xbox. This made me want a 360 when it released.
When did you start getting into achievements and why?
I played mostly on my boyfriend’s GT. I really enjoyed Gears of War and G.R.A.W, got a few achievements on there. Then I got my first 1k on viva piñata. Wanted my own score so I got a gamertag and soon after my own 360.
How did you find the site and what made you stick around?
Most my other forums are mixed consoles. Many ps3 players. Found this site when looking for achievements and decided to join the forums. It is much nicer talking with people who enjoy the same console.
What is your proudest gaming moment?
Branching out to different types of games. Games like Civilization IV and Fallout 3 I would have never played before achievements.
What is your occupation and what do you do in your spare time other than gaming?
haha, I am working on that occupation part. I honestly do not do much.
What's the worst game you have played on the 360?
I have two; Sonic, Two Worlds.
What is the best game you have played for the 360?
Fallout 3 is up there. Gears of War always has a spot on the top of my list. I just went crazy for that game when it came out. I remember those commercials were so evil when I did not have a 360.
What is your target gamerscore for the end of 2009?
At least 60k would be nice.
What improvements would you like to see made to the xbox 360 console/system?
Besides the obvious problems everyone complains about that need to be fixed, I would like to be able to play my games and Netflix no matter which xbox I am on. It is very annoying having to worry about matching the right console to the right hard drive to play games and watch movies.
What would you most like to see on a360p?
I would like to see people on a360p, I hate logging in and having barely anything to reply to. Maybe that update everyone is complaining about. Think it would draw people back.
What do you like most about the site?
Plain and simple the community.
Tell us a little about your life past and present
I am seriously just a boring small town girl. I have lived in the same town for all twenty one years of my life. I do not have very many girl friends. How I act and what I like usually turns me into “one of the guys”, or so I am told. At the moment I am just trying to figure out what to do next.
What is your favourite film/song/book?
I hate having to choose favorites. Film: The Stupids, Song: Eleanor Rigby, Book: I have to say I enjoy the Harry Potter ones.
What do you see yourself doing in the future?
I really do not know. Hopefully more than I am doing now.
How long do you think you shall be a gamer?
Probably until I die or physically can’t. Or if that no controller thing takes off. Not sure how I feel about dancing around like a monkey.
If you could have one dream holiday what would it be?
I am easy, so, a dream holiday for me would be in any town to where I do not know a single person’s name.
If you could have one dream job what would it be?
Besides anything to do with gaming, I would love to work at a spa as either a masseuse or nail tech. I guess my dreams are kind of small.
Do you prefer to play single player or multiplayer?
Usually single player.
Do you own any other games consoles?
I own a lot. Never got rid of any from my childhood. The newest ones I own are PS3 and Wii.
What's the best food/drink combo when gaming?
I do not eat when I game. I guess I am just not multi talented. Wouldn’t that be difficult? Seems like it would be and messy. Drink of choice is Mountain Dew.
What question would you like to see added to the next interview?
I do not know. You got quite a few good ones here already to answer. Maybe Favorite game of all time not just xbox 360.
And how would you answer this question?
Starwars Battlefront. I have no idea why. I am just addicted to that game and can play it for hours. Jetset Radio Future takes a close second though.

Yeah we need to get some of the older members interviews. While I think it is a good idea to get some of the people we've done, I would like to see some more active or older members interviewed.

Anyways.. nice read. I'm liking these member interviews so far. Beautiful picture too, but i would have liked to see you sporting the Leia buns, and the slave costume would have been a bonus! Haha. We'll have to start gaming sometime Kel, i know that we've exchanged much random banter over both the forums and LIVE, but i have yet to actually play a single game with you! ;O Shock horror shock shock! You're a great member, so i hope you do stick around. =)

Uhm, well I can't speak for Tricky, but last time I checked I was one of the longest standing members (I joined in September 2006) and I believe I used to be in the top 10 in posts. Longer serving or more active would mean interviewing the mods. ;)

Does that make me an old member? I joined Aug 06! I used to post occasionally in 06, but I think Ive posted more in the last month then I have in the last 3 years. My avg. is 0.16 posts per day lol
Anyways, enough of that, great interview KD. I got a question for ya though. Am I reading it wrong, or are you saying your middle name is just the letter D? That's actually kinda cool, I've never heard of anyone with just a letter for a middle name, very original. Maybe I misread it though? And yeah, Kelly's cool, she hooked my son up with some Pinatas one night and he had a blast. She was very patient listening to his request after request after request for more pinatas and she sent us quite a few. Very very cool thing to do, made his night for sure.

I honestly didn't believe that a smart, beautiful woman and a gamer could be the same person, but kellydee, Disenchanted, and all the others on here have proven me wrong. I remember when we were all just big nerds who played Zork on our TI computers - and I didn't know even one female who gamed. Man, I feel old.

I actually thought the interview was pretty mediocre. It's like the interviewer wrote out this set list of questions so he could spend more time bathing in acid, rather than taking time out to make each interview unique.
What do you like most about the site?
Fantastically dynamic question, I'm sure each answer will be totally different!

Nice to find out more about you. =) I might be new, but it's nice to get a headstart on getting to know the people around here, especially when they're a girl gamer like me.. just with much more gamerscore! Eek! lol. My gamerscore target for the end of this year is 1k haha :p My answer for what i would like to see on this forum would be "more girls" - kellydee is the only one i've seen, and i've come across loads of gamer girls online. Well, not loads but more than you'd expect to see.
I honestly didn't believe that a smart, beautiful woman and a gamer could be the same person, but kellydee, Disenchanted, and all the others on here have proven me wrong.

Thanks to everyone who commented! I would quote you all but to be honest, it is very hot here and am trying to get out of the computer room fast.
About two worlds. I would like it more but it just did not flow well enough for me.Maybe it was just my console but it did not handle the game well. If I could of used the code to turn off the grass and lower the graphics, or what ever that did, I may have liked it more. But I was told that would disable the achievements.

Nah you shouldn't have felt bad, you're easily one of the most active members on here, and I think that's the big criteria for being selected for an interview.
Thanks.

LOL, I have my doubts the final game will look anywhere near as good as those shots. Some of the promo art for the original looked quite good, breathtaking even, yet the game itself looked horrible.
Anyhow, enough Two World's talk, this is Kelly's thread, not a "I love/hate Two Worlds" thread. :p

It could be any question though, like.. what's their favourite animal and why, what do they think of the colour blue, if they could be someone else who would they be and why etc. The possibilities are endless, and if every single 999,999,999,999,999,999,999+ possible questions are answered, they could always start from scratch. Besides, there's currently only two interviews a month, so that's 2-4 questions a month. =)

Hopefully same goes for Disenchanted ;)
And I have to agree with Two Worlds. It was a unique and interesting game, but just horrible. I couldn't play for 10 minutes without getting annoyed at it. The lag was terrible and just the frame rate ****ed me off all the time. I wish I could have turned off the grass or the sky so it wouldn't lag :P

Well we do ask each person what question they would like to see on the next inreview and I seem to remember Pedle that your answer was something related to the answer of life and the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy or something so yeah =D. One of the questions in your interview was chosen by Tricky (I think) Or at least it was meant to be =D (I like drawing these faces I know).
So the idea is that there are basic questions and after each interview one is added by the person being interviewed. Although I am starting to think I didn't include it in thsi article =S. Meh

Nice to meet you kellydee! These interviews are always a always a good read. I still wish I had all of my old consoles.
On a side note to a poster before me, I think it is rude that someone makes a comment like..."you look like you could be stuck up. But you are not." It may be said in good taste but could be worded differently. I have a beautiful girl...does it mean she is stuck up? I am not taking this personally, but I find it is disrespectful and not the compliment that was intended. The reality is that just because a girl is attractive, it does not mean she is stuck up.

+1. I find this place can sometimes be a little lacking in maturity, and the comments made to female members can sometimes reflect that fact (though they are thankfully the exception rather than the rule).
There's so few women in gaming, and even fewer who would come to a site like this, lets not alienate them with "gowsh yer perty" or "wow yore smart" comments.

I actually have met almost all of my female friends on my list from this site. You just have to know where to look to find them lol. Not many venture into the off topics.

All I know is my girl would rip you a new one if you said, "As pretty as you are, I thought you would be more stuck up." lol. Oh well. I like Kelly because she gave Sabuc the famous pinata that helped me get my achievement. :)

I know what you mean. I have had friends who were like that as well.
The worst thing to do was to say it was weird she was good at sports.
I thought it was funny and made fun of woman's basketball all the time.
It is not a bad trait though. I just enjoyed pushing buttons sometimes.
I am glad that Sabuc could help you. A lot more people wanted that achievement then I thought would. Glad he could help so many! made it possible for me to empty my live messages.

I didn't see anything that sounded like that in the comments. A few gentlemanly comments shouldn't be construed as "ogling" or hitting on them. If someone said to me, "My, what shiny horns you have!" or "Goodness, what a fantastic goatee!" I'd be flattered. :D

I completely agree.
I think that is where a lot of girls go wrong on live. They take everything too seriously. Like for some reason the guy who lives miles and miles away is trying to make his way into their pants.
So far everything I have read on any of my forums or live is usually just casual comments or jokes.
And the guys with the perverted jokes I know are always doing it for the laughs of their friends.
As soon as a guy says something nice about one of my friends they instantly say , "ew he was hitting on me". I always ask them if they were sure he wasn't just being nice.
Anyways. Your post made my laugh quite a bit.

Like the guy who put his nads up against his xbox vision camera because he thought that would be attractive.
I wish I was kidding. :(
I've seen girls acting stupid too, being all "hee hee" and "princess peach-like". Although I accept the ratio of guys being morons to women is a whole lot higher than it is the other way round.

lol. I have horns on my leg in a tattoo. I get what you mean and agree...but I think Pedle was talking about the comments that are meant to be nice but not thought through entirely or where things get awkward. Like once, a guy asked someone I was dating if he could buy her a drink. She politely declined but he kept pushing like a creep.
Anyway...since you want more to reply to Kelly, I have a question. I saw in another thread you will watch Favre if he comes back. Will you root for the him or the Packers assuming he joins the Vikings(or any team that plays Green Bay)?? Just curious.

I will have to go with Brett Favre there. He actually got me to watch all of the Jets games that I got on my tv even. So I will want Green Bay to win all of their games but ones against the Vikings.
If he does come back. I always want him to do well so he can build his name back up. I hate how he has turned more into a joke.

Brett Favre used to be my favorite quarterback. I loved watching him play and I still do, but now he's becomes more and more of a joke after he "retired". I wish he stayed retired so I wouldn't hate him. After pulling all this drama, more people started to hate him and I'm one of them :\
Kelly, are you a Packer fan?

Yes, I am a pretty big fan of the Packers.

As painful as it is, I'm still a Lions fan. Although, if they go 0-16 again this season, I don't know if I'll be able to stand it. I'll move to Green Bay. ;)

I am a huge Packer fan. I was born in WI and still live here :P
Been watching them since I could remember.
Tims, as much as I hate the Lions, I understand why you like them. I like the Packers because I was born in WI so I understand being born in MI, you like the Lions.
But all I have to say is at least you aren't a Bears fan ;)

I wish Oregon had a pro team. I would of been able to go to more games.
The only football games it is easy for me to go to is the Ducks.
Well I could go to Oregon State, just not a fan of them.

I do not see Brett as a joke. I have always liked him and I think what the Packers did to him was crazy. Sit the bench or be traded where we won't have to play against you? If they didn't want the guy they could have just let him go anywhere he wanted. Then the media eats it up with no other stories over and over. Favre, at least to me, just seems like a normal guy. He certainly does not ask for the attention.
Anyway, it is nice to see loyal fans. There was a guy on the show First Take who had 0-16 tattooed on his chest. But he wouldn't show his face or give his name. lol.

It's probably because I live in Wisconsin, but I see him as a joke now because all he wants is revenge. He wants to play with the Vikings so he can seek revenge on his old team, Packers. The GM, Ted, said for him to be traded or sit on the bench because they are sick and tired of him saying..I will retire and then come back and say I'm coming back. It was ridiculous. He should just make up his mind.

This is obviously not the place for this conversation, however I completely disagree with your assertion that the Packers were fully responsible for Favre leaving.
Favre played just as a big a role, if not bigger. He's the one who was constantly toying with retiring and then coming back and then retiring and then coming back, et. all. At this point, he finally had a real press conference, cried and said it was done. The Packers then decided to move on with Aaron Rodgers, had Rodgers at training camp and get him and the team used to playing with him.
Then Favre decides to come back.
Then the Packers OFFER to have the two fight it out in a QB competition.
Favre, blatantly, is being a prima-donna.

As I said, if they didn't want him, they could have just released him. He wanted to play for them and they flat out didn't want him. I would be disrespected by that and want released by my boss so I could go work for a rival too. The competition was merely for the Packers to save face. As for the place for this topic, no...but it was a question I previously posed to Kelly. This is her thread and that was where the conversation went with everyone. I thought this was a community and these pages were intended to get to know one another and be a community?
Sorry Kelly...no more off topic posts for me in your thread! ;)
