View Full Version : We should have a BF 1943 community night

You can create a private game on Battlefield 1943, though i believe it has to be 16 players minimum or something stupid to actually be able to begin the match. I say this because it's an epic game and i believe it would be even more epic if A360P were to band together like a 'band of brothers' and have some 16-24 player madness with this game. I realise that there will always a time zone issue, though i'd like it if it wasn't played too late during US time otherwise us European members will be missing out. Another good thing about it being 24 players max (12 a side) is that you won't really have to worry about anyone saying "damn, the room was full. Wish i could have joined" every night.
So, i'll leave this for the mods (or someone else responsbile) to decide on this and help put together a community night on this game.
BF 1943 is priced at 1200MSpts and is around 560MB in size.
See you on the battlefield!

I'm totally down for this. I loved BF:1942, so as soon as I get back from vacation, i'm all over BF:1943.

You need 16 players minimum to start a private match. I joined a friends private match earlier, but there were only 7 of us and we were stuck in the lobby. Picking "start game" didn't do anything from here either unfortunately.
DICE underestimated the amount of people who would buy this game, and therefore are having issues with not enough servers and too many people wanting to play (this includes people playing the trial which is the main source of the problem). They're currently adding more servers as i type this, so the issue should be resolved ASAP. With this in mind though, i would like to see DICE include a patch in the future allowing you to only need 2 players minimum to start a private match, so that you can actually play a game while you wait for some servers to become free.

I definitely agree, this would be a great event and with the servers getting better, I'm sure one could be planned soon.

I was thinking this while playing it. 16 people, FPS, fun. Plus it'll help for that 100 matches achievement.

This thread was just to see what other people would think about a BF 1943 night. As i previously mentioned, either the mods should edit the first post, or they or someone responsible should create a new thread regarding the BF 1943 community night and the details.
EDIT: besides, with the way my comp is acting up at the moment, i've only be able to get on these forums once in the past two days thanks to a virus (which should hopefully be resolved tomorrow). So i wouldn't be able to update the thread in a reasonable manner for time anyway.

Is this still a possibility? I'd join in, I can't think of a better game for a community event.
