Spawn system on Air Superiority is whack!

Just out of random curiosity, why does it always spawn you on the carrier that has no planes. There is nothing more frustrating (aside from stupid team mates) than spawning and having to wait 3-4 minutes for a plane when you can see 2 perfectly fine planes sitting quietly on the other carrier. What gives?

You can select your spawn point, but you have to adjust the way spawn points are set, which is set to auto by default. At least, this is the way it works with the normal games. Haven't played Air Superiority but one might expect the spawn system works the same.
