What is the story behind your gamertag?

Well when i was first creating my gamertag, i wanted to use the name "PSYCHO", but by that point it had already been taken. So all i did was slap my name on the end of it and thus, PSYCHOTOMMY was born. i've had the same gamertag since Jan. 2003

How long have you been gaming and what drew you towards the xbox 360?

I have been gaming ever since i can remember. My earliest gaming experiences were playing Duckhunt on my Dad's NES. My own 1st gaming console was the N64. until the first Xbox came out, our family was all about Nintendo. Then while playing over at a friends house one day, he introduced me to a little thing called Halo. My birthday came around, and we became all about Microsoft. So when the 360 came out, it was the natural choice for me.

When did you start getting into achievements and why?

I discovered the joy of achievements about 6 months after i got the 360. I had just 1K'd King Kong. When i looked at my profile and seen that 1000, something just sparked in me. it wasn't long after that until i was rubberband boosting Rainbow Six Vegas with Sabuc for achievements.

How did you find the site and what made you stick around?

I first found the site when looking for an achievement list/guide for Lost Planet. I searched "Lost Planet achievement guide" on Yahoo, and this site was the first thing on the list. After realizing what a great thing it was that i had found, I kept coming back. All the achievement knowledge kept me lurking for a little while before I finally became a member. And the rest is history.

What is your proudest gaming moment?

I would have to say getting 1000/1000 on Lost Planet. It just not something a lot of people can say they have done. And second that would probably be winning the WWF Championship on WWF No Mercy for the N64. Anybody who has played that game can tell you, that is not an easy thing to do. Besides i was only a kid at the time, so it was a big thing for me. :p

What is your occupation and what do you do in your spare time other than gaming?

I am an ICS associate at Walmart. ICS associates basically deal with the inventory and stock for the store. Other than gaming, I like hanging out with my friends and spending time with my family. You know, the usual stuff.

What's the worst game you have played on the 360?

The worst 360 game i have ever played would have to be Eragon. I've done terrible things in the name of achievements...

What is the best game you have played for the 360?

With out a doubt, Mass Effect. I know that game gets flak for certain things, but Mass Effect has given me the most enjoyable gaming experience I have ever had on the 360. I am in the process of completing my 13th playthrough of the game, mostly to set things up for Mass Effect 2.

What is your target gamerscore for the end of 2009?
I dont really have a target GS. I did have a ballpark estimate to make 80K, but i'm about to reach that. I'm really more about completion %. I am a chronic completionist. It doesn't matter what game I put in that disc tray, i have to have 100% in it.

What improvements would you like to see made to the xbox 360 console/system?

I would really like to see customization options brought back to the dashboard. the Pre-NXE dashboard let change the color and background to your liking. Now, all you can do is change the theme, which sucks if you dont have a premium theme. I can't be the only one who thinks that silver semi-circle that takes up the bottom of the screen is totally unattractive. I want more customization!!

What would you most like to see on a360p?

I would be really nice if we had some Monsters on the site more often. :p I think if the updates picked up again, everything else would follow in line.

What do you like most about the site?

The community. The core group of guys we have on the site are great members. And we have recently regained a few old members too. this is a great place to just chill.

Tell us a little about your life past and present

Well my Dad was in the Air Force, so i have done a lot of moving around in my life. I have had the good fortune to not only visit places all over the country, but to also visit places all over the world, more specifically, Europe. I was actually born in Germany (my Dad just to marry a German chick  ). When my Dad retired, he was stationed at Pope AFB in Fayetteville, North Carolina. And that's where I have been ever since. I played football in high school and graduated in 2007. I got hired at Walmart shortly afterwards.

How old are you?

20

What is your favourite film/song/book?

My favorite movie is The Empire Strikes Back. I love everything Star Wars (except Jar-Jar of course). Pretty much everything from Tool would qualify as my favorite song. But to pick one song in particular, I'd have to go with the song "Sober". I dont really read a lot of books. The closest thing to a book that i do read would be OXM...

What do you see yourself doing in the future?

In the near future, going back to school to get a better job later. I hate to be cliche, but I'd love to be a game designer.

How long do you think you shall be a gamer?

For all of Eternity. Period.

If you could have one dream holiday what would it be?

I have always wanted to take a cruise to Hawaii. I've done all the typical theme park vacations. I just wanna take a long & slow cruise to a tropical island and just relax.

If you could have one dream job what would it be?

Bill Gates' job, whatever his official job title is. :p A job where I have a lot of money, and I can let everyone else do the work. The dude that said money doesn't buy happiness must have been broke, because money always makes you happier.

Do you prefer to play single player or multiplayer?

Singleplayer. I have never been big on multiplayer. I hate it when a game gets stupid with the online achievements (case in point, Gears of War 1 & 2). That's one thing i really love CoD4 for. No multiplayer achievements.

Do you own any other games consoles?

Yes, I own all the current generation consoles along with the first Xbox, N64, SNES, NES. I dont have any of the handheld systems, although I used to love me some Pokemon Silver.

What's the best food/drink combo when gaming?

For me, a Soda/Beer and something non-greasy, like a turkey sandwich.

What question would you like to see added to the next interview?

Tell us about the first time you got laid. :p No but seriously, to keep with the theme of gaming: What was the most difficult achievement you ever earned?

And how would you answer this question?

The "Death Star II - undefeated" achievement for Lego Star Wars II. Lost Planet and the Mile High Club achievement dont even hold a candle to much of a pain it was to get this achievement. I tried that bastard for days before i finally got it, whereas Mile High Club only took me 3 hours of trying.

first off, i wanna say thanks to the staff for being asked to be interviewed. i feel so special now!! :D:D:D

Nice interview Tommy. I am wondering how you and Sabuc used rubberbands on Rainbow Six though?? Another great member to get to know!!basically how it worked is you could set up a match to where it would start over automatically after it ended. the rubber bands came into play by putting them on your controller in such a way that made your character constantly run in a circle, thus negating the idle penalty. doing this you could have it boosting indefinitely gaining more exp every few minutes. easy money...;)

Great interview! Love seeing Star Wars fans around.

"Death Star II - undefeated", nice. lol. A few of those undefeated achievements made it to my never gonna happen list awhile ago.who doesn't love Star Wars? Star Wars is the F'ing shizzle. :p but yeah that cheevo was a real pain. and it was annoying because i was able to do all the other flying levels no problem, but i could not do this ONE SINGLE LEVEL.

Ah yeah, the rubber band days ... err nights of Rainbow Six! LOL

as far as the picture goes, it was taken during Christmas about a couple years ago. i dont know if it's obvious to anybody looking at the picture, but i was pretty wasted when it was taken. i dont even remember there being a camera in the room, let alone it taking a picture of me.

anyway, i appreciate the opportunity to talk about myself in excess. thanks guys.

Good interview, but 3 hours for Mile High Club? I thought it was relatively easy..yeah i actually almost had it on like my 4th try. i got all the way to the end and i shot the hostage by accident. after that it just went downhill as i got more and more ****ed at the game. i started playing very stupidly. after a while i took a 5 minute break. when i came back, i got it on the 2nd try. i have never been all that great at CoD games on veteran difficulty, just good enough to get by...

Now I feel bad, I must have tried MHC like 40-50 times at least and never got it. Couldn't ever get the flashbangs in the right spot or something. The Lego Death Star was much easier

Anyhow. Good interview.

Nice to know more about you. :) I know the pain of shooting the hostage in Mile High Club. I got to that past three times in one hour, but shot the hostage all three times. Took me another three hours to get there again and then I finally got it. Also, TOOL FTW.

I got to see them 2 years ago in FL. Then when I moved to MT they were suppose to have a concert about 1hr from where I live. I didnt get tickets. I was soooo mad. Then a few days later they canceled. So yea it sucked, but Id be more ****ed off if I had the tickets. Ive been to quite a few concerts, and Tool is definitely the best concert Ive ever been too

Great read. Always interesting to get some of the background story behind some of the longtime members on here.

Though I gotta disagree with LSW being tougher than MHC. :p That beat the death star achievement unlocked a lot quicker than MHC for me.

And I agree 100% about the lack of customization on the new dash. Really annoys me that half the screen is a plain silver backing or in the case of the theme I'm using (Batman AA) a plain black backing.

I think most people would agree that it's not easy. Sure, it may only take somebody like 2 or 3 hours to get it but you have to keep mind the tiny-ness of the level in the first place. Proportionately speaking, that's a tough freaking level.

Not to mention the fact that it's about 60% luck, and 40% skill.

Edit: actually that's not quite right, it's about 1% skill, 2% luck, and 97% perseverence. :p

Good interview, but 3 hours for Mile High Club? I thought it was relatively easy..

And you nearly failed Flirtin' with disaster when we played it in BQP a year ago. ;)
Some find certain things easy that some find difficult. Mile High Club was alot harder for me than for instance, getting 200 in Heavy Weapon(which is pretty damn easy, but alot of people say it's hard) or the Style racer badge achievement in PGR3.

Ditto for me, MHC beat both PGR3 and Heavy Weapon by a mile.

The thing about MHC though is that there's such a luck component to it, so it's entirely possible that one could beat it relatively quickly simply because they lucked out and got a couple good breaks.

I'm guessing this was me...it was all about a good bounce with the flash grenades and a few well placed shots, then run up the stairs and pray.
