What is the story behind your gamertag?
When I was around 8 years old I was at my friends house. We always played Team Fortress and Firearms on his computer. His older brother went by MightyToaster, and for some reason it stuck with me. I later made alterations such as MightyToaster91, and now MightierToaster. To this day I look back on it and we joke about how I took his name, however he doesn’t mind and likes to see the name continue on. I would like to eventually change it and come up with a name of my own (I have many ideas.), but too many people know me as “Toasty”, “Mighty”, “Mightier”, “Toaster”, and it would be weird to lose that identitiy.

How long have you been gaming and what drew you towards the xbox 360?
I’ve been gaming since 6-7 years old. My first system to call my own was a Playstation, with Crash Bandicoot 2: Wrath of Cortex. I later got an N64 the following year, and to this day consider it the greatest console ever made. I was a PS2 owner from day one and when I heard of the Xbox and Gamecube the following year I immediately shot them down. My friend bought the Xbox and had Halo. After school, we would get off the bus and we started co-op on Halo 1. That was the start of my love for the Xbox, and too this day I remember those long gaming sessions and system link nights. As for the Xbox 360, I was against it for god knows what reason, but the next March (2006), I bought one with GRAW and have been playing it consistently ever since.

When did you start getting into achievements and why?
First achievement was the training mission in GRAW, and I had no idea what had happened. It wasn’t till more of my Xbox friends got the 360 that I started noticing the ability to compare scores. The eventual trash talk began, and so did my urge to beat out everybody on my list. Since my 50K, I have slowed down, but will every now and then have a sudden desire to achieve large amounts of gamerscore. It’s mostly about having fun and completion % now.

What was the most difficult achievement you ever earned?
Hands down Battlefield 2 Modern Combat’s Expert use of Mortar Online. Anybody who has ever played the game knows this is a royal pain in your backside.
Kill 5 enemies and no allies with a single Mortar Strike. 20 Acquired 12/17/2006

How did you find the site and what made you stick around?
I found the site while randomly searching for help with achievements, and games with easy achieves. I’ve stuck around for three years, (Has it really been that long?) and I really liked the community that was here, and while it has thinned of members that I remember, we have also added some new great members to the community.

What is your proudest gaming moment?
Finally beating Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask. Took 6 years to do it. However I’m very proud of beating many classic games as a kid. This goes for any classic N64 or Playstation game. Beating Paper Mario, Zelda Ocarina of Time, and Legend of Legaia were big positive moments in my gaming.

What is your occupation and what do you do in your spare time other than gaming?
I’m a college student at Florida Atlantic University at Boca Raton, FL. I’m majoring in Broadcast Journalism. In my spare time I like going to the beach, enjoying some time with my friends, and partying.

What's the worst game you have played on the 360?
Fifa 06 RTFWC, god do I hate that game. Pimp My Ride takes 2nd.

What is the best game you have played for the 360?
Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition… However putting my love for the Monkey Island series aside, I found Test Drive Unlimited, Mass Effect, and Fable II amazing.

What is your target gamerscore for the end of 2009?
I’d be happy with 85K, however I really am not aiming for any score.

What improvements would you like to see made to the xbox 360 console/system?
The ability to watch video off of a plugged in device, and a Youtube channel/blade.

What would you most like to see on a360p?
Besides an update, I would love to see the community grow to a point where we have tons of active members that are regular each week or so. I feel like we need some new consistent members.

What do you like most about the site?
The Community

Tell us a little about your life past and present
My whole family is from Michigan. My dad went to the University of Michigan so that explains my love for the place. I was born in Fort Myers Florida, but go up north to the great lakes state each year for 3+ months. I now am at FAU and am doing well. However nothing will stop my die-hard fan ship for Michigan, I will bleed maize and blue till I die. Daft Punk fuels my life, and all easy listening, House, and Alternative music for that matter.

How old are you?
18

What is your favourite film/song/book?
I love 3000 Miles, and The Big Lebowski. Lets just say my three favorite bands are (in this order) Daft Punk, 311, and The Flaming Lips. Favorite books are I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, and Watchmen.

What do you see yourself doing in the future?
Being a Broadcaster for a major sports network.

How long do you think you shall be a gamer?
As long as I can play, and games continue to draw me in.

If you could have one dream holiday what would it be?
A trip to Ann Arbor to be at the University of Michigan with my family and friends for the Ohio State game, with perfect weather, (which never happens.)

If you could have one dream job what would it be?
I’d love to be a cast member on SNL, or a College Football Commentator for ESPN.

Do you prefer to play single player or multiplayer?
I prefer a really good single player game, but I love great multiplayer that allows me to have a good time with friends.

Do you own any other games consoles?
I own my Playstation, and N64 that I talked about from my childhood. Bought a slim White PS2 a year or two ago (my original black fat one died.), and a Dreamcast.

What's the best food/drink combo when gaming?
MacDonald’s Sweet Tea x2-3, McChicken x2, Snack Wraps – One of each flavor Crispy Ranch, Honey Mustard, and BBQ. Sounds like a lot and it is, but for a long gaming session, it’s heaven. It tastes best when bought at 2 a.m. off the late night ;)

What question would you like to see added to the next interview?
What is your favorite brand of Peanut Butter and why?

And how would you answer this question?
Jiff, because it’s smooth with a very nice hint of nut. Plus it makes the best PB&J’s.

Enjoyed the interview!
Although you get extra points for being a Michigan fan. And for the peanut butter question, that made me laugh.

Nice ot know more about you. Always wondered why you didn't go to a university in Michigan. I thought you lived there. As for the peanut butter question, I don't like it.

A trip to Ann Arbor to be at the University of Michigan with my family and friends for the Ohio State game, with perfect weather, (which never happens.)

And here I always thought you were a Michigan student or alum. Anyway, I've been to the last several UM-OSU games at the Big House and the weather is never good (November isn't the best month for this state). Doesn't matter, though. It's always worth it. :D

I was at the disastrous Mich-OSU game two years ago when it was raining and 34 degrees with gale-force winds. We had 94 yards total offense and lost 14-3. It was quite the depressing situation.

Heh. I was there for the 100th game between the two teams a number of years ago, and it was cold but sunny. We won, so that's the one I remember. ;)

Yay for N64 - jeeze those were good days... Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Goldeneye, Mario Kart - gaming is great nowadays, but just not the same :).

Well, I have Jiff in my cupboard at the moment. but don't really have a preference - tend to go back and forth on the creamy/chunky too.

Great interview :).

Great interview...

Peanut Butter wise - it's all about Peter Pan. However, PB&J is for the weak, i'm all about the Fluffernutter (it's not nearly as pornographic as it sounds).

Also, can I call you Toasticle?

Why yes I was sir. That was a few weeks ago at a University of Michigan Frat Party my cousins frat house. UofM had over 1000 confirmed swine flu cases, I'm fine as of now. However I'm going back up the 12th of November - 16th of November.

Gloves were for the 30 degree weather, but they also worked well since they were fingerless. Now I can't play with out them.

Toasticle works, but sounds dirty if read wrong.

Nice interview, I always discover these late.

To answer the question: Kraft PB is a staple in my house. I prefer the chunky, but my wife prefers the smooth and since she does the shopping more often than me, it's usually smooth that ends up in the cupboard.

Wait...Kraft makes PB?

I can honestly say, I don't think i've seen that in my life. Doesn't Kraft also make Velveeta? I can't think of Kraft PB being like actual PB...it's gotta be like Velveeta. Fake PB in brick form that can be utilized as a plastic explosive once it's been cooled for x amount of time.

I've never seen it either. Maybe it's a regional thing? Like how it was nearly impossible to find Orange Crush here in the Midwest until a few years ago.

It's probably more like the cheez you get with Kraft Mac & Cheese...comes in a little baggie and squeezes out like a guy who had Mongolian bbq for dinner last nite.

LOL, come to Canada sometime and you can stock up on it. :p Kraft Canada is much different than the Kraft in the US.

Funny enough, I don't think we can get Velveeta up here, so I can't comment on the KPB's "Velveeta-like" qualities. :p (though I must admit I'm tempted to test the "plastic explosive" theory...)

Oh, definitely. The fact that you folks use that crazy sugar in your coca-cola is nuts, too. Plus, Canada has the real deal when it comes to Cadbury candy. The U.S., for the most part, doesn't.

For the record, Flake bars are sweet deliciousness.

There's no sugar in Coke in the US? That's just wrong....

Funny thing about soda pops in Canada: until fairly recently (within the last few years) it was actually illegal for soft drink manufacturers to add caffeine to pops. So there was a time when in the US a can of Mountain Dew would containe at least as much caffeine as a can of Coke, but in Canada the can of Mountain Dew was actually caffeine free.

I don't think that's what he meant. Maybe Canada uses a different kind of sugar? Seems like I heard that somewhere once. Coke definitely has sugar in the US. Pretty sure it's in the form of "high fructose corn syrup," which some health nuts claim is the cause of all of society's problems.

BlackMagik
November 5th, 2009, 07:50 AM
Until recently, some soda manufactuers in the U.S. were using Splenda type sugars in even the regular products, this leading to a funny after taste. I could be wrong---maybe I just dreamt it---but I remember when I would buy the normal Coke and think this taste like a diet drink. They have since went back I believe.

No, that's exactly what I meant.

High Fructose Corn Syrup is different then pure sugar, which is what's used in coca-cola in Canada and Mexico.

I, of course, don't give a rat's ass about societys problems with HFCS, but it's not the same as sugar.

Well then, technically, HFCS is a type of sugar - but I do agree that it's not real "cane sugar" (and I think chemists would agree too). I though that was what you meant. I really didn't know that they used "real" sugar in Canada and Mexico. No wonder the Coke is better when you're on vacation. The Coca-Cola is better, too. :D

Didn't Pepsi have something called "Throwback" for awhile this summer? I think I read that it had "real" sugar in it, probably as opposed to HFCS. Never got around to trying it, but I'd take cane sugar over HFCS any day.

I could be wrong---maybe I just dreamt it---but I remember when I would buy the normal Coke and think this taste like a diet drink. They have since went back I believe.

Reminds me of "New Coke" back in the 80s. Tasted like crap! Bigger flop than Crystal Pepsi - which I really liked. Didn't taste like Pepsi, but it was different than all the other "clear" sodas.

Pedle Zelnip

I'm actually not sure that Coke in Canada is real sugar or not. There's a "hippie" brand of pop up here called Blue Sky that advertises itself as being a "natural alternative to the big name brands" as it uses 100% cane sugar.

It is. I'm very, very sure as I always bring some back. It has to do with cost of Sugar in the U.S. as opposed to Canada, which is why most of the products in the U.S. contain HFCS as opposed to cane sugar. Same in Mexico, they use cane sugar.

and yeah, Pepsi did a 'throwback' over the summer that utilized cane sugar.
