Can someone PLEASE explain this Halo 2 glitch???????

I have tried to explain this to teammates on several occasions, but, I finally managed to get 2 good pics here on Lockout after a sneaky super-bounce onto the sniper tower during a custom game I jumped in.. :P

First I'll explain...on many different occasions during matchmaking, I have seen this happen, it's like 2 levels loaded at once or something, I've seen like the shadows of another level in the background of LOTS of levels, but the only shadows I see are either of Warlock, Headlong, or most commonly the one I see is Backwash...Also, I can sometimes see several different shadow figures of several Spartans..lol I really can't explain further, so here's the pics...the first one is...wait...is that Backwash?? No, it's me on top of the Sniper Tower looking str8 at the floor...u see that lil Spartan guy right beside my BR?? The second pic is pretty self-explanatory... :P :lol: Anybody else ever seen this or know what it is?

when u download the new maps onto your 360, backwash "bruned" on the other maps coding

all you have to do is reset your xbox

I don't think you read the whole thing, it's not "only" Backwash, I sometimes see Headlong or Warlock as well....no ones been able to explain this and so far I've only heard of like 2-3 other people who've had this happen.. :lol:

This happens to me too. Especially during matchmaking which bothers me because then I can't concentrate on playing.

I got this once on lockout too. It WASN'T the shadow of any other level. It was the shadow of a doorway in Lockout. So basically Lockout was burned into Lockout. It's weird. I following quote is from Xbox.com about this, from the bc section; known problems.

"Halo® 2
You may occasionally observe "ghost" images displayed on the screen. To work around this, return to the Dashboard and restart the game. Additionally, there are performance problems when playing on the Backwash map."

The latter is also true. I reported this 'Backwash' problem while talking to a tech guy from Microsoft. I was having problems with the Media Center and figured it was the perfect time to report it. The problem I have on Backwash is a VERY SLOW framerate. The same goes for Grand Theft Auto 3. A couple days after I reported the slow framerate on Backwash, it was posted on the xbox website!

That's weird. However, I never got it.

It's caused by problems with the emulation software used to run H2 on your xbox 360...It's far from perfect.

And BTW, if you play H2 on a 360, you must be playing for fun, so who really cares?

This has never happended to me but that is the weirdest thing ever. I've played on live everytime i go to my friends house and neither of us have seen it.

This is called "Ghosting" and has apparently been fixed recently. I haven't experienced it in a few weeks so It may well have been. Also BackWash has been removed from the playlist until they sort out the emulation problems on it.

i just got my 360 like a week ago and i had this happen yesterday in the second level where you play as the arbiter and it wasnt like a shadow world or anything it was just like a symbol but it was stuck in the far right of field of vision and stayed there for quite a while

well if it is a map that floats(like has no bottom) like lockout just jump off da edge but if it is a normal lvl leave and come back i think

Just jump off the edge once you get about half way down it goes away.

It's only on 360's, just leave and rejoin, and it will be fine.
