ZERO HOUR ACHIEVMENT QUESTIONS PLEASE HELP~~!!!

Ok, here is the deal, i got a hold of a memory card from the Zero Hour Event. it has the Zero Hour Achievment on it on a profile. and it wants me to set up a new account or do a account retrival. but when i go to put in my existing xbox live account, it tells me when i get towards the end that all my game saves may be delted or no good. my question to anyone who has the Zero Hour Achievement, is, is it possible for me to link my exosting Live account to this new account and combine them by doing the account retrival, and if i do it will all my game saves be lost. i called 1-800-4-MY-XBOX twice and each time they were back and forth on it. so i dont want to take the chance unless i know for sure. also i do not see the Zero Hour Avatars on the card, was that a seperate download at the event? any info woud lbe great thanks to all.

No, not at all. i just like to collect xbox things, and i thought it was cool to have. also i mainley wanted it for the Avatars, i have seen quite a few of them and i like all of them.

The Zero Hour Avatars???? NoOO way. these you could only get at the Zero Hour Event. these were not avalible on Xbox Live Marketplace.

The gamer pics were available on the marketplace, right before/at launch, take a look at my card if you don't believe me. I got mine off the marketplace on the Saturday before launch, as I won my 360 via Mountain Dew. The Zero Hour achievement, you could only get onsite to my knowledge.

OP: The pics can be copied to/from a memory card, so I'd check the card you have for the picture pack.

Achievements are linked to yoru profile when you achieve them. For that matter, so are game saves. For example, if I was on the last level in Quake 4, and i gave my memory card with that save game to a friend so all he had to do was beat that level to finish the game, he would NOT get the achievement. He would have to have his own game linked to his account to unlock the achievement on his account.

Thank god for this or the leaderboards would be ripe with fake achievements.

Well that sucks, i got mine the night of the event, but i dont remember seeing anything like that on marketplace. and i am sure i looked at everything, what was it labled as? anyway, can you check and see if they can be copied to a memory card, that is all i really wanted anyway, plus no one can answer me for sure about if i did a account recovery to the acount that has the achievment. so i am not willing to take the risk of losing all my game saves. too much time invested. i woudl be willing to pay someone if they woudl copy the avatars to a memory card and send it to me. if it is possible.

Ohh, and how many different avatars is there, does anyone know a site where they show them all? i have seen about 4 different so far.

It was called the "Xbox 360: Zero Hour Pack" and contains 8 icons.

I'd assume the pack was on your memory card if you were at Zero Hour(and used a Zero Hour icon as your gamerpic) and could be copied to your hard drive.

i am not 100% sure, i downloaded the PGR3 100 Avatar under a fake xbox live silver account i made with an address in the UK so i could access the UK marketplace to download it. and it saved on my hard drive and i can access it from my real account, in fact it is on there right now. so there has to be a way for atleast avatars to work.

As far as I know, achievements are linked to your profile. Marketplace goodies like themes, gamerpics and arcade games are linked to the xbox itself(or to the serial-number so-to-say). Either way, I don't think the zero-hour achievement(which is displayed as a Dashboard-Achievement, I assume?) can be transfered, since it classifies as an Achievement that is linked to a profile. If it classifies as an Avatar(like the PGR100-thing) you would still not be able to transfer it, since its linked to the xbox it was downloaded with, but accessible for every profile on that box. So, if you made a profile on a box with that avatar, and copied the profile later on your own box it might be accessible.

Lots of maybe's here. I don't think that last sentence applies, cause Microsoft certainly has took precautions on copying stuff. Else I could give a friend of mine Complete versions of Arcade Games by copying profiles. So I guess, for a profile to be copied it has to be from the same xbox.
