Congratulations to NICK528 for achieving the impossible dream of getting 1000 online matches played in Tiger Woods! Doing so brings him to number 1 on the worldwide leaderboard for sports game achievement point totals! Way to go Nick, I tip my hat your way and say Good Show!

I played with Nick a few times and he's a class act. He did, in fact, NOT rub it in my face when he got number 1 but instead messaged me about it instead with a FINALLY! He might not be king, but he is #1 in sports games!

"#1 in sports games achievements" is like saying "#1 in most times sat on a toilet in a day". (Who cares.)

I think it would be interesting to have genre-based GamerScore Leaderboards. I had already posted a thread somewhere on having a Live Arcade-only GamerScore. Sports-based is the same thing. Then, gamers could focus on the Leaderboard(s) that matters to them. Having only one Leaderboard accumulating all games makes it impossible for 99.9% of gamers to compete.

But alas, Xijar is correct. Until someone starts tracking different types of Leaderboards (I don't know if it's technically possible)...nobody will care.

<Edit: Statement retracted. There are genre-based GamerScore Leaderboards!>

To answer your question, top360tags.com tracks individual statistics and Xijar can go hump a dead moose. It's called "Way to go man!". It's a sportsmanlike thing, something you obviously have no idea about.

<<EDIT>>
Let me elaborate a bit. It's an achievement considered, by some, to be incredibly hard to attain and he did it. I was giving him his due moment in the spotlight for doing something the vast majority of us probably will never do. So instead of sounding ignorant with your comment of sitting on a toilet, why not say nothing at all, it's much more pleasant. As for the toilet, judging by all the S*** you spew it must be you who sat on it the longest.

It's "top360tag.com" (no "s"), but excellent! Thanks for the link.

Well congratulations to the man on getting the achievement, it's nice to see someone trying to get those ridiculous achievements.

But I just wanted to point out that you shouldn't mix up "hard" and "time-consuming". Hard is something difficult that not everybody manages to pull off. Time-consuming is something that anybody can do, if they just bother to put the time into doing it. Since its 1000 matches PLAYED, and not WON. It really only is time-consuming.

And on a side note, I really hope they stop making achievements like that, and instead focus on something that requires skill and not insane patience.

Steve - You raise a good point about hard and time-consuming; I would also like to add that 'hard' is a relative term...it's different for everyone. Time consuming is less relative; but still could depend on the skill level of the Gamer.

Doesn't really apply in this case, cause as you say, anyone could get 1000 Played Games with enough time. But in general, I may think that some Achievements are hard, while you think they were easy.

Lots of good discussion lately on the merits and shortcomings of Achievement points...interesting...

Sorry, but the 16 people (http://www.mygamercard.net/leaderboard.php?gt=&g=7&z=&c=) who have 1000 points on Perfect Dark Zero deserve ten times more praise than someone who just played a bunch of golf matches.

True, and when somebody actually manages to do DOA4 without getting the 0 point achievements. :)
As of yet, nobody has, but the 4 closest are mostly guys under 4k :)
Which kinda proves my point from a different thread, but thats a different story alltogether

I agree about PDZ props especially for headshots I have some of the achievements but this game I have alot harder a time getting headshots than other FPS's. Also more to the point it does take alot of patience to get 1000 games I am so OCD I have a problem hitting 100 games played on Hexic...

I just wonder how many of those games were legal games. You know, actually playing, instead of one of his friends just quiting and him getting credit for the win, or something else along those lines.

If they were all legal games, played legit to the end, and he won them all, then concrats to him for an excellent job.

Yeah if it was matches won it would be an achievement.
But its wierd that people haven't gotten this achievement before, since there are many achievements like this in other games.

Maybe it just goes to show what a crappy game it actually is. That so few bother even getting that achievement.

Let me clear something up, in Tiger woods, if someone quits on you, you do not get a win. you do not even get a game played. I was playing Nick when he got the achievement, he had 99x games done and i still need my eagles! So to get 1000 matches in Tiger Woods is harder than you think because people quit like crazy ( there is no penalty).

Also, Ghost Rider, Nick is a real class act, and it is nice to see that you obviously are as well, although i knew that before. Sure there is some competition between all of us, but for most of us it is friendly.

That's good to hear. That's why I put in my post that if he DID in fact do it legally, then concrats. I just know a lot of people doing things in Tiger Woods that I feel is impossible. Example, shooting a 43 on a par 72. IMPOSSIBLE. When I see a person shooting that low, I stay away from them, cause they are cheating.

Also, I don't know what the hell happened with the double post thing.
