I'm very disappointed right now beacause I've read 5 minutes ago a news that really sucks: USK, the group that manage the ratings of videogames in Germany, decided that Gears Of War won't be released in Germany because it's too violent :evil: . There are a lot of more important injustices in the world, but deny the right to play a VG it's a shame :x . Even if I'm not German, i'm very angry atm. My solidarity to our german friends, hoping that GOW will be released in Germany :wink:

Its a shame, but it is a pretty grusome(sp) game.

Also, I believe this should go in the GoW forum!

So... they allowed QuakeIV by taking some content out, but GoW has been deemed totally un-censorable? That's just a little strange...

*hack*import*cough* I'm with you, Solid. Quake 4 is a lot more violent than GoW looks (heck, so was Dead Rising). I'm sure a censored version will be released sometime.

You can watch yourself get helplessly mutilated but you can't use an underbarrel chainsaw? Something's wrong here... :?

Unless, of course, they cut the Stroggification out of the German QuakeIV.

I'm pretty sure watching yourself get helplessly mutated is considered violent. :) Unless someone has seen something we haven't, something is wrong here. Quake 4 was still pretty violent, even without the Stroggificastion and green blood (disected marines?).

And why do you people always bring him up when anything about Germany is mentioned? As a German I find it extremelly ignorant of people to just associate him with anything German related.

It's also very ignorant when people call all Germans Nazis when in fact there are more Nzis in the US then there are in Germany.

Geez, Ive only been taking german for a few months and I really can not speak whatever I want, just pretty much what they want us to say.

Ry Fryy makes a good point...every time a German is mentioned some ****weed goes "ZOMG NAZI" which is pretty annoying. That was 60 years ago. Not to mention Hitler is dead.

And if you still have unwarranted anger towards the whole Holocaust thing, there's always Call of Duty.
