question about media challenges

this may sound stupid but i cant figure it out....

i keep selecting a media challenge to complete and then ofcourse i select the drop off point. im boarding down towards the rainbow that is highlighting the media challenge but when i get there nothing happens.... how do i trigger the media challenge? its not pressing x like the others ones.... i feel like im missing something very obvious here. thanks.

The ends of the rainbows lead you to the media challenges which are represented with a floating camera. Usually the camera floats directly over a jump or rail. Once you get close enough to the media event gold stars will appear around the jump, rail or area to carve up. Then you just do what the media challenge is there for: aerials, spins, flips, grabs, rails, carves.

im an idiot. i finally figured out that i had "media callouts" off in the options menu. i had done them earlier in the game so i must have switched it on accident. thanks!

yeah, that will do it, if you have them turned off then they wont work

haha, i remember when i couldnt start them. it was sooo frustrating! thankfully i have since beat them all gotten every achievement and returned that game to gamefly!
