Speed Freak Achievement

[Monster 1 of 2]

With this achievement, you merely need to finish all of the time trials and have them AVERAGE UNDER ONE MINUTE APIECE (Total time less than 12 minutes). Knowing this, lower the times for the easier trials as much as you can to give you more leeway on the more difficult trials. The best way to get fast times on the difficult trials is to go full power on your first three shots and try to knock the balls in the holes and off of their original starting spots if they're spread out away from holes. If you can get five or six in on those first shots, try to knock the rest in individually with backspin on the cue ball so that the ball will stop quicker if it hits another straight on.

Jeez.. I wish I'd have known that sooner, I've been stuck on the third or forth one for ages and the quickest I've been able to achieve is one minute and eight seconds. It's been driving me insane, insane I tell you!

Yeah, I was stuck on the same table thinking man, i'll never get this under a minute and i gave up lol. This tip helped me big time or I never woulda done it.

Here's a suggestion, why not post videos of individual tables and how to do them. Even a simple screen shot as to where to place the initial shot? I will post one soon for table two, did that one in 14.45 seconds. Did a couple of later ones in 20 seconds. Stuck on one or two though.

How does one go about taking videos of themselves playing xbox 360? Like with a video camera? I don't have one, and I'm assuming there's other ways to go about recording yourself as well.

Probably hooking your 360 up to your PC via the Media Centre then having a PC with a decent Video Card that can Record TV.... or something along them lines, at a guess.

The crappy thing about it is that the clock starts ticking way before you have a chance to do anything at all. It really should start when you gain control of the stick instead.

!!! HELP !!!!

I have all of them completed but I still need to lower my total time down from 16 something to 12. The one where the cue ball is in the middle of the circle of balls is the one I can't do at all. My time for it is 2:40 and that's as low as I can get. I do have table 2 at about 15 seconds and the 3 ball break at 25 seconds. The rest are either 50 seconds or 1 min and 30 seconds. Videos or even pictures would be a huge help.

Well don't forget that since the update you can press :arrow: "Right on the D-pad" which is “Cue ball camera mode" ...... It works great for Time Trials because you can rotate the camera before the balls have stopped moving... (so you can line up your next shot quicker)

yeh, how about some tips for all the tables, my current times are table 1 - 35.21 and table 2 8.57, but apart from them 2 the rest seem really hard

just keep playing..thats what i did...you'll find some tables much easier than others, master them so you can have worse time on the longer ones

Does anyone have tips for tables other than tables 2 and 10? I am stuck at 14 min and can't get any lower

Thanks to knowing I only needed an *average* of <60s/table, not an actual time of <60s/table, I finally finished this achievement last night. I had given up on it earlier, as <60s on the 9-ball and 8-ball tables is next to impossible.

I noticed something odd, though. My average (post-achievement) is *not* less than 60s per table. I was calculating my total each time I improved a table to see how much time I still needed to shave off and noticed when the achievement registered, I had an average time of 64.99s per table (779.91s / 12 tables)!

So either:
(a) The actual cutoff is an average of 65s per table, despite the achievement stating otherwise.
(b) It accidentally divides the total by 13 instead of 12 (779.91/13 = 59.99).
(c) I ran across a glitch that just happened to work in my favor.
