I'm sorry, Dragonz. I hope that your friends parents can recover. That's a terrible way to die, to be decapitated. Pay my respects to everyone involved.

That is an awful story; I also send my regards and hope the best for the families of the lost ones.
As a little off topic I feel this thread is more appropriate under the "Everyday Life / Personal" forum even those these events don't occur in everyday life.

I am really sorry to hear that. It makes me sad.... it almost brought a tear to my eye, and I don't even know him. It's probably because I have a friend named Travis aswell. I thought that he was going to pass away not to long ago, and we are only 15. But, all of a sudden, his nervouse system(not sure if thats how you say it or spell it) just shut down. He had to go to the hospital for about 4 weeks. Every day, I kept trying to be optimystic aswell. It was really hard. Anyways, it turns out that he is ok now, and when he came back to school, we played a science game in science, and Travis was on my team, and he got all the questions right, and he missed 4 weeks! Anyways, he is probably the 2ed smartest kid in our school and he is only in grade 10. But I am glade he didn't die, because he has a future! but I am still very upset about your friend, Travis. I hope the best to you, his parents and friends.
Really sorry,
Devan

My apologies for not seeing this thread earlier.
I'm sorry about your friend. Why is it that the fool that is drinking or doing drugs and driving is never the one to be killed?
I hope his family can pull through this. Just think about those two little kids who lost fathers and uncles at the same time. Thoughts and prayers out to his family.

**** man, that's bad. Send my regards to the family and his friends. Reminds me of this guy who OD'd on Oxycontin (aka OC) and drove some friends home (god knows why they took the ride), and a friend of a friend died. I didn't know the person but it's somewhat similar. It sucks knowing anyone who dies.

Interesting. A girl that was a grade below me in high school, Jessica Snare, died last Saturday in a car accident.
Obituary (http://www.legacy.com/StarTribune/Obituaries.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonId=19888597), gotta love how they said 2002 when it happened one week ago. >_>

I gotta say man, that I feel your pain, and wish you the best through this. Several years ago, the man who was best man in my wedding was killed when crossing the street by a drunk driver who was slowing down at the red light and then right before stopping, floored it.
I can tell you that it impacted me greatly, in that I now am very adamant about never letting anyone I am with leave if they may be at all impaired. I don't care if it's a restaurant, bar or even a house, if I feel at all that they may be a danger, I don't let them leave. I hope that maybe this way, his loss may have a positive impact, and maybe lives will be saved that I will never know about.
My prayers are with you.

That is horrible.
Me and my cousin do improv duo for the forensics team, where they give you a topic and you act it out in 3-6 minutes. They are funny or serious. Our serious one was about a friend dying, so we used the drunk driving thing. They are always really sad when they are serious.
I am sorry for your friends...

I still never went to a funeral before.. everyone crys? I know most of them do, but I don't think I would cry at a funeral unless it was someone I knew real well or if it was an important relative or family.

^Theres a wii topic if I'm remembering correctly.
Sorry about the loss.
Stuff like that convinces me to never do drugs, especially driving at the same time like the driver was.
