Anyone here getting the nintendo Wii? My friends at school got it, and it looks really fun. They said it is a lot better then the xbox 360, so I am thinking of getting one. But the problem is, they sold out on launch, so I have to wait from anywhere weeks... to months in order to get mione. And my mom said that she won't get me it for christmas because she said I don't need it. So I haev the money for it... but I now need 20$> I broke my little brother num-chucks by accident, and I had to pay him 20 bucks for him to keep his mouth shut:P It worked so far! Anyways, anyone getting it here?

lmao.. they said it was better than the 360, yea... not even close. it runs in 480p at most and has 256 blocks of memory, the memory card issue alone makes it worse. The games are for younger audiences, I own one. I must admit the controller scheme works well, but i favor the classic control better. Wii needs better games at this moment.

I have a Wii and think it is a great system. I would not say that it is better or worse than the 360. They are two completely different machines aimed to different audiences. I think both systems are great. I just wish Nintendo would send more component cables out, so it would look better on my HDTV. Out of the games for the Wii that I have played, Zelda, Wii Sports, and Trauma Center are great. They all control rather well and are fun. I did not like Red Steel or Monkey Ball that much. But keep in mind that these are just the first batch of games to come. They are only starting the break the surface of what the Wii is capable of.

i got it on launch, you cant really compare them becasue they are two different things, Wii is about fun and messing around haveing a good time. Its worth the money and very fun. Xbox is Great also, i would rather have a xbox becasue i play fps and compete alot.

Zelda is really really really fun the only problem is it has mixed graphics like sometimes it will look nice and sometimes it will look like crap but still i can look past graphics.

Wow, I tried it at my friends house yesterday and it is a hell of a lot bbetter then the 360... in my opinion. Anyways, I discovered that yeah, I will be holding the remote in my left hand and the joystick in my right hand. I never knew I was until half-way playing The legand of zelda Twilight p[rincess. But boy oh boy. That game is soooo fun! So is Wii sports. They actually gave good stuff becuase since I am left handed, I can swing with my left hand! I love the Wii!

As for my opinion on which system is better. I agree completely with Chainsaw Stebus... They are different systems aimed at different audiences. For me, I like the 360 since it provides me with HD next-gen graphics and the interconnected xbox live service... soon to be live anywhere. And of course, Halo. I'd rather play a multiplayer game of any of the halos than control a little elf guy with a green hat solving puzzles. I loved zelda back in the day... but then again... I loved a lot of really cheesy things back in the day... It's games like Halo and GoW that appeal to me now and as much as I try to dip my feet in nostalgic titles... they only keep me interested for a short period of time. Wow what a rant this is... I will get the Wii though... looks fun.

Same, I used to be obsessed with getting achievements, but now, since I only think about the nintendo Wii, I will only play games for fun!

I've read the Wii uses SD cards. They generally store anywhere from 256mb's to a couple gigs but definately not 30 gigs.

My opinion on the Wii, first hand is that it is Amazing... It is a stand alone system that should not be compared to the 360. I do think Zelda ia one of the best games that I have ever played, but it isn't Halo...

There is a multitude of reasons that I believe 360 is better. First and formost it is Microsoft. How many of you have a CPU with a Nintendo Operating System? But please don't rely on numbers/statistics to say that 360 is better than Wii. They are two completely different animals. Besides do you think the PS3 is 3x better than 360?

I played one, didn't like it at all. I never liked sony in teh first place. I am excited! My friend has an aunt that works at Wall*Mart, and she said that when they hear about when the shipments are coming in, I will be able to be like first in line!!! i havent had trouble with mine it works fine (unless you beat the s**t out of the wii) Nintendo always makes more reliable systems then sony or microsoft

I believe you on that. I remember... I think this was just lucky, lol, but I threw my gamecube as hard as I could against the wall, and it didn't breake. Well, one thing poped open, then I tried the gamecube, and it turned out to work! But one month later, it stoped working good:P But the Wii is gonna own! The thing that sucks though is the fact that only 18 are coming to my town, and my firnds aunt is already saving him one, so that means I have to be one of the 17 in line!!!! But my mom said forget about it. Although, I mastered the art of fake crying, so that might work! And if it doesn't well, I will just have to ask my dad:P

Oh and by the way, my friend says that it has like 2000 blocks. HE made like 100 Wii Sports characters, and played Zelda. He used up 3 blocks so far. Zelda=1 and the Wii sports, since he made a lot of people=2. So, you have a lot of memory.

I will definitely own a Wii. There are a few Wii games that I am excited about (Zelda, Red Steel, Metroid) but I am mainly getting one so I can download old NES and SNES games such as Killer Instinct, Double Dribble, and Castlevania!

Apart from the classic games- the only new games I'll get will be Nintendo exclusive.

They may be aimed towards a younger audience but you cannot dispute that they are good games.

I dont play it anymore, but a couple of years ago I thought the pokemon games were pretty good. I wasnt that much of a gamer though back then. In fact it was only till i got my 360 (Feb 2006) that I started to get FPS and RPG games. All i would play is sports games.
