Well, it's nearly December and you know what that means...free stuff!

My family is struggling a little bit with cash flow so a bunch of new games is definitely out of the question. In fact, I'm offering to pay for some of an iPod this year because I want it that bad. My Mini is dying, quickly.

That's basically all I've mentioned this year. That iPod, and Call of Duty 3. I KNOW there are games out there I've missed because I haven't been able to purchase many retail games, and I don't rent them either. So I'm looking for some feedback. Exclude arcade games, I have what I want for that. But here are the games I've played (retail):

King Kong
Quake 4
Dead or Alive 4
Perfect Dark Zero
Madden NFL 06
Call of Duty 2
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland
Major League Baseball 2K6
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Project Gotham Racing 3
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
Madden NFL 07
Saints Row
Gears of War

You say F.E.A.R., you get shot. If I want to play F.E.A.R. I'll get it for PC.

I was also thinking TDU cause it looks good and it's only 40 bucks. Also, no Prey (too many shooters already) or LOTR: BFME II (not a HUGE RTS fan..). Any other suggestions are welcome, though! Thanks.

Try Dead Rising, that's one of my favorite 360 games. Also check out Burnout Revenge, Fight Night Round 3 or Condemned.

Ah, your PC can actually run F.E.A.R.
In that case, Dead Rising is fun as hell, Condemned was awesome but had NO replay value... (ok, it kinda did...hell, I feel like playing it now!), Gears is ****in AMAZING...

Oh, and how in the name of God did you manage to miss out on OBLIVION?! That game consumed 200+ hours of my life easily!

Yep, I beat Oblivion and I've got like 680 in GoW so far. I put the full title so you might have skipped it. >.>

I picked Saints Row over Dead Rising way back whenever, but if Dead Rising is really good I don't see why not.

I've only played a bit of it. It's good, but very similar to every other Tony Hawk

That's what I was thinking. The demo was...enjoyable but nothing too great.

You could always rent online. $12.99 for 2 games or movies out at a time through Gameznflix. You have most of the good games, so you could just ask for money or gift cards and wait until someting went on sale.

Demos are your friend. If I was you (I don't buy many games either, but I do rent some) I would get a $25 subscription to Xbox Mag. The demos are from marketplace, but they don't take up HDD space!! You can play free stuff that way. You wouldn't believe how many times I have gone through Fight Night Round 3 with my friends and haven't bought the game.

If you want a good sort of cheap game ($50) then I would try Viva Pinata. It is very strategic, and will last a long time. Definently worth it.

Okay so we've got:

Dead Rising
TDU
A subscription to OXM? :P

Sounds good to me...plus CoD3...I'll be set for a long time! :)

Yeah, that sounds good. Out of those, Dead Rising is the shortest, so you might want to think it over. It's still a great game, it's just that the other two will last longer. Good choices overall, though. :P
