Guitar Hero 2 has been officially announced for the 360, anyone else as excited for this as i am? :D There's a list of songs that will be in the game in the Holiday OXM (only one nirvana song, boo). Any songs you think should be in the game or you'd like to see up on the marketplace? Post any ideas here!

Though I've thought of seeing about getting guitar or bass lessons. I dunno, I might. Probably not, but I might. If anyone at my local lesson place can teach me to paly Pink Floyd and Green Day, I probably will at least try it.

You can rent equipment for $15 a month at some places, not expensive. Green Day songs are ridiculously easy, just about 4 chords a song. Hell, i could teach you one. As for guitar vs. bass, i play both and guitar is much more fun. Bass is boring.

I can play pretty much anything, just not well. Nearly all my friends have been in a band or are still in a band and I've been there for all their shows. Man, I've probably been to a couple hundred concerts. :o

You play bass? You can be in my band, our bassist is terrible lol. The guitar was a Gibson X-plorer, and ya it looked pretty sweet. I only play fenders in real life, but i think i can make an exception.

Do note that the list they posted isn't official at all. It is just the song list for the PS2 version of the game. DDR has different song lists for different consoles, so they might change it up for 360.

The OXM article mentioned XBL will be supported. There will be DLC, just none has been announced.

Agreed. I don't play bass myself, but my friends do, and what is the point when by yourself? I see how it can be fun, but there is just more going on in the guitar.

Same here lol, I hope it's good. I saw it confirmed and dropped in excitement, but that Spring 2006 release is still making me want a PS2.

Hey man, whatever works for you! What kind of metal you think you're going to do? Enter Sandman by Metallica was one of the first songs i learned and thats a good one to play with your band if you have anyone talented in there.

My fav song by metalica to play on the electric is by far fade to black. It rocks! But I mostlyjust like to jam with my accoustic. It is a 12-string, although, I want to get a 6-string so I can have only 6 strings :)
