Finally the first ever HD DVD player has been released by Toshiba today and its now made available to the maket of Tokyo with a price of 110,000 JPY ($932.2 USD). The "HD-XA1" is bundled with a remote control and 2 HD DVD discs "Resident Evil" and "Moonlight Jellyfish". What do you mean cope up? blu-ray is a certainly equal, and probably a better format, it's just so darn expensive!

ithink that it will be a stalemate and within the next 2 years the film companys will be selling all films in 2 formats (portable media player compatable and dvd)

there really wont be a stalemate for that long... the film industry wants to decide what format to use and stick to it... btw, it will be hd-dvd, sony is retarded when it comes to predicting what consumers will buy in teh future, just look at how well beta max turned out...
