Change the faceplate

This is a stupid newbie question to ask i am sorry but how do i change my faceplate i have looked at my console and found no buttons on it to easily remove it i dont want to pry it off and risk messing up the console

Ok, flip your xbox over. Underneath on the faceplate side is a little hole on the gray piece. Put a butter knife in there and push and pull out at the same time. It may feel like you are gonna break it, but you arent - and if you do then you did something wrong. Eventually after opening it enought times you can just pull and it will easily pop off. Hope it helps.

And Scottman, take out the first forward slash on your sig picture ([/img] etc (it should just be [img])) so you can see the pic in your sig.

Yeah I was too. I actually started to do it then wimped out and called a friend who reassured me it wasnt gonna break. Then I took it off without a fuss and we all lived happily ever after. :D

This is MS way of getting it off and the way i use. it seems easier than the butter knife way.

and you dont have to scared
what helps is to slip your fingers in once you opened one cornar and run your finger down it slowly

Yeah, I did it the MS way when I bought my new silver faceplate, and I broke one of the damn clip things that holds it in place. That's what I get for doing it the MS way..
