I had 3 last night when I went to bed and I spontaneously had 5 reputation stars when I connected. I'm not complaining but coudl soemone explain this? :D

I dont really understand how the rep works because it cant drop. I remember playing friendly games of pdz and got my rep/good feedback up. Then got on pgr3 and won some games meaning I get swamped with bad feedback but still no change.

From what I hear it is some weird glitch. Like before the 360 came out people had 5 star reps and they hadnt touched the system.

A bunch of quake 4 players owned my rep last night with bad feedback. So there's definately something that works. It's so easy to get back up though, every game you play and don't get bad feedback brings it back up.

Not all of them but yeah... Marble Blast Ultra is so much fun online. :D It's great to knock people around while you have the mega-marble power-up.

Reputation revolves around the following factors:

Negative Rep
Posotive Rep

And people that didn't leave you any rep.
The system figures that If they didn't leave you any rep, than you didn't change their experience at all, but keeping the community the same. So It constitutes that as good rep. But It doesn't affect as much as they others do.

I figured as much. Funny thing is, I read all sorts of stuff about the system in the months prior to launch. I read articles on truskill, the dashboard blades, etc. I honestly read through the WHOLE xbox.com official website for info on the 360. Of course I also read anything on gamespot, IGN or teamxbox.com. Not once did I see an article explaining how rep worked.

Yeah, it's an awesome fun game! It's one of the only ones I have right now lol since I traded in like all my other games to put towards burnout revenge and oblivion. Prolly gonna get GR:AW too but wanna rent it and hear about it first.

yeh i'm waiting for oblivion and burnout revenge also, i specially never bought burnout revenge for my xbox so it would be a totally new game too me. Also gonna get Fight Night 3 (it's out march 10th here). GR:AW is also another possible one, it looks amazing but i've never played a Ghost Recon game before so yeh i'm also gonna play the demo or rent it first. Also wanna take a look at Top Spin 2, i use to love virtual tennis so if thats a good one i reckon it will be very good on Live.

You can get bad feedback, not because the guy hates your guts, but because he just doesn't want to play against you and he thinks by clicking "avoiding player" it will make it less likely you'll be matched up. I've seen people do that to others who just had slower connections. It's not personal.

Gamerscore, or rather, "Compare Games" is more viable when you want to sum up someone than counting how many stars they hold in my opinion.

Good rep gives you the stars, bad rep lets you avoid from having to play with them. That is my guess.
