the new Status feature

I understand the concept of this, but how does a Status based on the number of posts contribute to the originality that I wish this site to have *:?

I don't like it but please, whats your take on this, guys and gals.

It's pretty standard for forums to have status based on number of posts. I do believe, however, that site contributers like yourself Khytomer should get some sort of special recognition that is visible on your forum posts.

I think it would be cool to hand out "badges" and awards, sorta like what Gamespot is doing, and what could be found on the Xbox.com forum, where if you post a really good post you would get a badge, and you could go from bronze to gold or even platinum to for how many of these good posts you have etc. could be displayed as tiny icons under your name, and you could have them under your profile page as well :)

Site contributor and so on is fine, but this 3/12 achievement is kinda pointless *IMO* and doesn't add to the sites originality. Hope you get my point?

Haha. Oops I pointed that out. I'm sure they didn't mean to take it away, and we all know the effort you've put in and the monsters are great guys so I'm sure it will all be fixed up in a way that works. Maybe if everytime you contributed you got an achievement? That would be pretty kool.

The ranks you see now are placeholders until we get the official list done. We were taking quite awhile to do it and we didn't want to just leave them blank, so we threw something temporary up until we could finish our list up.

Site contributors will have a special rank. We are still in the thought process for the new ranks, but like I said, we wanted to put something up so it didn't look so empty.
