far cry atv glitch

if you take some pipe bombs and through them at the engine part of the atv{they should stick on} then hop on and pull the trigger then BOOM ur dead

It cant be a glitch as if its a pipe bomb(which goes in pipes eg. engine) then wouldnt you expect it to blow up?
