I was wondering the same thing, but the main thing I just learned is this: If you can sign into xbox.com and post/reply on their forums with your gamertag, then you are set. I forgot, Passport/.Net is what it was called when I first linked up my Gamertag. Not its called Windows Live.

OR - if you can sign into the rewards program page ( http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/news/2007/0205-xboxrewards.htm ) with your GT, you should be set too.

and when I hover my mouse over the 'sign out' tab on the top right of the xbox.com pages, it says 'sign out of Windows Live ID'

Do you even know there's an edit button. Disappointed. Thoroughly disappointed. Absolutely disgusted in fact.

sue me, I got lazy. its just so easy to type in the open box at the bottom of a thread. don't worry about the fact that I gave multiple answers to the question..... if you ask a question on here, I will print the thread out, and use it for #2 paper.
