carving challenges help

im struggling getting gold or even silver on the carving challenges, any tips?

Its been a while (and another account), but I had no problems with these missions.

Just cut at a 90 degree angle left until you begin to slow down, then cut 90 degrees right and repeat over and over. Just watch the course ahead of you to make sure you kind of line yourself up not to go out of bounds.
