View Full Version : The Glitches Forum

As is obvious by the name, this forum is the place to discuss all about the darker side of gaming. Namely: Glitches, Cheats, Mods, Boosting techniques, etc.

Although I personally oppose the aforementioned techniques because of some bad experiences I've had with such things, I have learned in a poll I recently started that the majority of players out there feel this is something that should be discussed on our forums.

So, to keep from spoiling the experience for those who don't want to learn about such things, a special forum has been created just for you guys who do. I will make sure to moderate these forums so that you are not persecuted for your beliefs (and I won't whine about them anymore either.

If you have feedback or suggestions for this forum or other site ideas, please leave them in the suggestions forum.

Enjoy!

sheesh, it is a darker aspect, but eventually software will be so complex and advanced, it will probably find and repair its own bugs.

What Atari are you talking about? You're not that old.

And you skipped Sega, heh? You missed some good stuff in there. Can't say much about you skipping the 3DO though. :) I should get that thing out again. :? Well, not talking about Glitches anymore. Could be a cool thread to start up for reminiscing though.

Yeah, we're off topic, but what's there to say about glitches? This is definately better than debating the acceptableness of glitches which will be debated from now until the end of time. =)

I played Atari, believe it or not. I am 21 years of age right now, and I actually remember playing that ET game for Atari and never being able to figure it out. I liked missile command though. That Atari is still at my parent's house actually, an ugly, flimsy feeling black box it was.

Somehow, although my friends had genesis and game gear, I totally missed out on that. I had like 4 game boys though =) Guess I was a nintendo fanboy. I would've stayed a nintendo fanboy if Sony hadn't stolen squaresoft over to thier side!

I loved Nintendo but my love for RPG's took me to the other side... FFII for SNES just didn't cut it anymore. ;o

I own/owned an SNES, N64/PS1, Gamecube, PS2, 360...

I have most of the gameboys except pocket and the DS... The micro doesn't count as a different one... :P

I thought you were 15 or something? FF II just didn't cut it anymore? FF III was where it all began! Easily one of the most acclaimed FF's ever, besides FF VII. FF II was just to get you warmed up.

I'm only 14. I didn't get it when it came out but I have the cartridge in this very room... I never finished it though. :O I started on a search for the pink tail so I could get that uber-armour but then I stopped playing... :(

I played Atari, Coleco, NES, SNES, N64 (yes nintendo fanboy), PS1, Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube, XBOX, X360, NDS. I am 27, soon to be 28 in April, and I have over 750 original NES carts.. I used to be a GameStop manager.. "Yes we will take that" was my favorite thing to say when the old cardboard box of games would come in. Now my wife who "wasnt" a gamer is reliving the nes on our bedroom TV, since we work opposite shifts, this whole week she has been waking me up to breakfast in bed while she plays Original Super Mario, its really funny cause she cant get past world 4-1 after she does the warp pipe. It makes me smile so much cause she is reliving the enjoyment of gaming from the olden days till now, and I get to help her through it all. Her quote yesterday was "I hate 3d games, these old ones are so much better".. she really hates the 2 analog sticks.

Haha, that's funny, my girlfriend can't stand any game that makes her use two analog sticks a lot as well. She can handle games like ratchet and clank and zuma and stuff that only uses one, or mostly one, but she tried Kameo (which I'd hoped she'd like) and couldn't stand it.

My mom watched me play Zuma for maybe an hour or two. She was so interested in playing so then I showed her the controls and let her have the controller. She couldnt operate the analog sticks so it made her kind of depressed and she left the room. I felt real bad because she had been so interested in playing. She hasnt even looked at a game since Tetris game out for the SNES. To end the story happy she went out and got Zuma for the computer and plays it like 2 hours a day using her mouse and keyboard.

I have owned:

Commodore 64, Atari, NES, Sega, SNES, NES 64, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, 3DO, XBox and XBox 360

I actually remember when you had to program your own stuff to get it work on the first PCs. You guys remember the 10 codes..

10 Echo Off
20 Run ...
30 Print ...
40 etc, etc.

You actually had to type out everything you wanted the computer to do...every command..Now that's old..
