I have headr very little about this game. If any1 would care to help is this a game that I'd play purely 4 acheivement points/or also for fun. And is the gameplay still Extreamly realistic or has the gameplay changed to a more arcade style

The gameplay is much easier and more arcadey, but it is still a very fun game. I would not buy it however as there is no multiplayer except for soem very rare 2-player sledding accident things (and even that is not xbox live multiplayer). Rent this for a week and play it for 6-10 hours and you'll have done pretty much all there is to do in this game.

It's a great game, I was just trying to make sure someone didn't buy it and was dissapointed in it's lack of replay value. Unless of course you REALLY like this type of game and plan to make your own hills and trick them out with the parts you earn etc. Could be fun, for sure.

Unlike a lot of people here I don't throw the game away after I've gotten achivements, I still snowmobile around or sled for no reason.

achivements are set challenges and don't set the lifetime of a game

This is all opinion and depends on yoru style of play. Many of us wish that achievements were much harder so that when you'd completed them all, you could truly feel like you've mastered that game and move onto another.

Bleh, can I be wrong about this game??? I rented it and absolutely HATED it. Maybe because I am a huge SSX fan, but I could not get into it at all. Granted some of the cut scenes that I saw were funny, but I just couldn't do enough to get into it.

Maybe when there is another dry spell in games I'll get it back from GF and give it one more go round...

Its true that the missions dont have much replay value, but trying to get onto the leaderboards takes a LOT of practice. Depends what you like in a game I guess.
