Wow microsoft actually gave us a free game?

I am not complaning but they have NEVER given us a free game for download without a catch... Yes I understand that there were others, Hexic comes with the 360 and Totem Ball was to promote the camera...

For no reason what so ever they release a game completely free that looks good and could have been sold at 800 points? Microsoft always tries to screw us over in every way, it almost seems that there has to be a catch...

Well thanks microsoft, I will play and enjoy this this, but I still don't understand who still put this up for free with Bill Gates screaming in their ear that they are going to loose a small amount of money.

Any content on Xbox Live that is "free" is really paid for by someone else. Even Texas Hold'em was sponsored for the few days it was offered free.

I think Totemball was the only one that was really free, but of course the catch there is that the game is useless without the camera.

Just make a silver account up with a fake email address that pertains to a US region and then bang, you can download it to your 360 and play it with your normal Gold account. Job done.

It's even available if your account is a silver account. It really doesn't matter as long as you faked the US address right, the "region lock" was bull****.

As for the "why are they giving this away for free?", well note that at the start in the credits it states that this was a pet project that came out of a group of interns at XBL. So it probably cost them nothing (or virtually nothing) to develop, and by giving it away for free, they've helped generate some interest in the XBLA. OTOH, if they charged for it, then people would complain that they're gouging customers (if it cost you nothing to make, why are you charging for it?).

I think it's a brilliant move by MS, and hopefully they do more of this in the future.

Yaris MP glitches too much and it's a crap game.

I'm surprised Aegis Wing wasn't for 800 pts. A game that good could have made A LOT of sales.
