help with border def.?

so ya anyone have any good hints for getting a gold. ive tryed sooo many thing but can only get right before the gold.

Yeah me too.

I've tried just about every tactic, but keep coming up about 100 points short.

I've tried "Haste" on Maal to get him to run quickly up to the buttons. whilst the other guys form a defensive group in the middle of the map.

I've tried not killing bugs, so that more don't respawn by the walls.

I've also tried a concerted push, where everyone moves slowly as a group, battling wave after wave of the enemy.

This level is starting to annoy me (especially, since the i've managed to get "Platinum" medals on a few of the later levels - I'm even ranked in the Top 50 for a couple of them)

Which mission is it? My 360 is off and downstairs, which is why I'm not checking, but the levels stay clear in my mind.

same with me ive tryed everything ive done the misson like 20 time and im bout to kick my xbox just cause of it. **** if it was a game on a disc i would of trashed it by now.

FINALLY DONE IT!!

My advice....

1. Haste "Maal".
2. Let the others form a defensive group right at the start of the map (protecting each other, and forcing the enemy to come to you)
3. Kill NO MORE THAN 2 enemies (I took 2 out the Mosquitos as they were more of a threat).
4. Just keep Healing your party at the bottom of the map, whilst "Maal" can take care of himself (only 1 archer tries to stop him).
5. For a few extra points you can kill more enemies once "Maal" stepped on the second switch (this will generate more enemy, who will attack him, but shouldn't either kill him or get in his way for the final switch)

JOB DONE - GOLD MEDAL!! (4 more to go!)

1) Haste Maal
2) Haste Your grasshopper guy
3) race them both up, send the grass hopper to the right and send Maal to the left.

I killed one guy who was in the way

Finished the level in 3mins 30secs and scored 4313 points just for that. Finished in 4 rounds 7583 points for that. I lost one of my guys but that want enough to takeaway the gold.

IS border defense the one where you have to step on those squares to build the wall? i need help with the one where you defend for 5 rounds.

WonkyBilly boy for the one where you have to defend for 5 rounds leave every one up on the wall (I don't even think I moved them from their starting locations). Have your archers and mage work on guys as they start to move closer and if someone stands in front of Maal use the Push skill to knock them in the water. Have Ratama heal your units and if need be use bombs to melt the ice and sink any units trying to go up the other side. Don't worry about the standard bearers.
