Anyone else wishing they'd finally blow the lid off the whole storyline right 'bout now? There are *so* many little nuances in the video that really undoubtedly point to some sort of future placement for the storyline. Lots of visual effects that are quite clearly evident in the video... that they don't speak of whatsoever! Arr!!
I have to say though the game is looking just incredible. The animations are probably the most fluid I've ever seen in a game, I mean it's just crazy. Some little things stood out, but with 3 months of polish left to go on it, I'm sure they'll all be ironed out.
I was a little worried about the combat when I first saw it way back last year, but due to the apparent difficulty and skill required to be good at it (and the timing based system, which promotes more action oriented gameplay) makes it look like it'll actually be exciting and fun, instead of getting old fast.
The depth of field is something I noticed in most of the games previewed, and it looked quite good in AC when it came to viewing the guard from behind his back, with the city blurred out in the background. Good stuff.
Overall the demo (much like the last one) made me salivate and twitch for about 30 minutes after viewing it. If those small little complaints can be ironed out (which I don't doubt), it still looks like it really will be one of the best games... ever.

Yeah. it was absolutely amazing and i have no doubt that Montreal cant iron out the kinks and bring out another masterpeice.
that chase scene, even though it was short... was absolutely brilliant. i think i had a nerdgasm from watching it.. This is by far going to be the best Game of E3 this year again.
The one thing i could say though, is when you have targeted a person of intrest. the white glow on them seems to be a bit much, maybe if that was toned down slightly it would be better. but thats just my though, does anyone else think so?
The Live Demo for anyone who has not seen it yet. (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/21513.html?e3i=1)

It seemed to be on pretty much every person that you focused on, or maybe it was just guards. Either way, it has something (probably significant) to do with the future setting we know absolutely nothing about... damn Ubisoft!

Yeah, i watched it again and it was.
Maybe you dont notice it as much when your actually running through the streets after your target yourself.
Still. Nevertheless, its looking absolutely brilliant.
Good job Ubi * Thumbs up *

This game is looking amazing and after seeing the E3 Live Demo, gameplay visuals, play and look really good.
I liked that they said the NPC react diffrently depending on how far or close you are to them.
This is my game of 2007 going to rock.
Bring on November Oh Yeah

I'm hoping that the controls or doing such things as the "free running" are not quirky but from the demo and how smoth the transition is, i think my fears are calmed. Now i just have to wait for it =(. Although I hope they fix the bugs like the body being kept in mid air, or the body flying up into the air when it was thrown against the wooden platform.

There was a live demo on G4's coverage of E3 where Jade says that that bug with the floating body has already been fixed back in the office. and don't worry, the last few months before release is meant to clean up all the bugs like this one.

LT (or RT) is your Freerunning toggle. Hold LT and run up to a wall, Altair does the rest on his own, you just steer him around finding footholes and ledges.

My impressions: This game is godly. It kind of ****es me off that every good game is coming out in Fall, i mean why not release some good games in summer?

FYI the collectors is now available for pre-order at EB Games (at least in Canada). Just noticed it in there (and got #1) today.

I've been really excited about this game, but the on stage demo scared me a little, it was very glitchy considering the game is set for a November release and the combat looked uninspired. Although I did hear that the stage demo wasn't an accurate representation of the game's current state.

I didn't find it 'very glitchy' at all. What were you referring to? The thing with the dead guy floating was already fixed back at the office Jade said, but they didn't have time to update the E3 build. Combat is based on time-sensitive counters and attacks. Much better than hack and slash in my opinion, and more fitting to the game.
At the point they're at right now, all they're doing is polish, the game is done. So 3 months is a lot of time to polish, Q.A, etc.
