Re-Entry unlimited points

I heard that if you let the boss on the Re-Entry level destroy the mines you get points and you can just dodge his attacks to get unlimited pints but when he destroys the mines my points dont go up can some one help me? Do they all add up after I kill him?

I tired it and did the math it does not work, unless u destroy the mines but that would take a very very very very long time.
