How do you get Perfect Fight with the new patch?

I have been trying the 2nd controller method and have already achieved the alien achievements, however I cant get the Perfect Fight achievement, can someone please explain how to unlock it? I heard it had to do with something about the patch.[/b]

they patched the 2nd controller method. is the game that hard that you can't beat the final boss on easy without dying 7 times???? i've done it on my first try

Maybe I just suck at the game, but I couldn't beat it without using a continue on easy.

You can easily just remove the updates, and use the glitch.

Unfortunately, if you clear your cache to get rid of the update, when you try to play AHHD again and refuse the update, you can't log into Live until you accept the update. For most people it isn't a problem, but I've had my 360 replaced by Microsoft, so now I have to be logged into Live to play 90% of my Live Arcade titles.

Call them up and tell them, they have to refund %100 of your M$ points. I had more then half not work off line, called up and got my 14000 points in a week.

Yes, wheres your walkthrough on the basic tips, sorry, the advanced tips of a pro on beating it without continuing?

EDIT: I want to state the fact that the achievement description says "Defeat the final boss without using a continue" not " Defeat the final boss without using a continue and/or the use of a second controller " very stupid i might complain about this just becuase i spend too much microsoft points. Need to earn a few back.

For anyone having trouble with this achievement this was my solution.

I would have my profile and a dummy profile start the level in easy.

In the first fight (which I find the hardest) I would just have the dummy profile stand around and half the time the big yellow dude would target him instead of me so I could get in a load of free hits.

Also you could use your feet to control the dummy profile. I could only get the dummy profile to spam grenades every time they re spawn.

or even better get someone else to control the dummy profile.

This is not a fool proof guarantee, but did help me save a few lives at the start. I find the other parts of the fight (spaceship and in the air) alot more predictable so the best thing to do is memorize those parts and use the dummy profile trick for the first part.

I just bought this game on Marketplace this week and when I was playing it I don't remember there being an update for it. When I tried the 2nd controller trick, it obviously did not work. Did they patch the game itself for newer downloads? Just curious since I tried clearing my cache and when I played this it did not ask for an update and when I tried it again, I still did not get the achievement.

I noticed the same thing. I cleared my cache recently for a separate reason and was never asked to update Alien Hominid HD. I don't mind getting the achievement legitimately, but I've never noticed this kind of issue before.

Yeah...it's like the newer download game come patched already. I guess I'll be practicing a lot for this one. I suppose battling with 2 players will help.
