I really suck at this game. HELP!

I've beaten 2 missions on chapter2 and now I can't beat any other missions. I can't find where I need to buy better weapons and make my mech a lot better. Any tips? I don't have the instruction booklet because Gamefly is a piece of ****.

Which missions are you stuck on ? Just describe what each were as I can't always remember what mission name means what.

And in terms of AC my AC starter kit was the medium one that was in white noted to have "unusual missiles" and in terms of other weapons - a grenade cannon is always a good choice in early missions as it can cause a lot of damage and spread damage too. In saying that I pretty much stuck with my grenade cannon all the way through to the end of the game.

Then I would say to get a good laser rifle as they are strong weapons and great for sniping at Helicopters and small normals.

AS Missiles are also good and I used to have those strapped to my back and setup as my side weapon. AS Missiles just lock onto nearest object rather than you having to manually target lock all the time.

When you fight NEXTS and you get ones that love to fly around all the time - then I used to find a Gatling Gun can be your best friend as if you can hit them with the gun it tends to ground them and if you keep pumping them with bullets they don't seem to move either - so I used to pound away and then at the same time be pressing my other attack buttons without letting go of my gattling attack - - pressing both buttons at once so to speak.
