i think it is one of the more promising games coming out and it could be really amazing but i am really wondering about the control scheme. i've heard a lot about the control scheme and it seems overly complicated and really hard to get into. i heard or read (dont remember) something in OXM about one of the editors having a lot of trouble getting into the scheme and he has been playing games for the past 10-15 years. i think it can be a really amazing game but the controls worry me a little

Control scheme seem hard to get into, but good be cool once you get used to it. OXM said that each of the face buttons will be used to control one of the limbs. Ex: A controls left leg, B controls right leg, etc.

Ok this is what gets me Halo 3 is a good game but it is not goty and microsoft go crazy on advertiseing Halo 3 but there are at least 3 games comeing out in november (Mass Effect, Call Duty 4 Assassins Creed) that push the 360 to its limits and have new and fresh ideas, Halo 3 basicly is halo 2. Basicly Halo 3 will get it because it has sold so many copies of the game but does not merit goty on new ideas because there is no new ideas in Halo 3.

I do hope either Assassins or Mass Effect get goty as they just look amazing and the technology they are useing in the games are amazing.

If Halo 3 gets GOTY I am going to be seriously ****ed off. It doesn't deserve it, Mass Effect, COD4 and Assassins Creed are amazing games. I would want any of them 1,000,000 times more than Halo 3. Not saying Halo 3 is a bad game though, to me, it just breaks average.

Seriously dudes, I'm not promoting Halo 3 GOTY(even though it's perfect for me) but these games are not even out yet and ye all talk like they are the biggest baddest games around. People talking about Halo 3 hype, but what the heck is this then?
These games look to be really awesome, although neither Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed appeal to me because I'm not into those kind of games. But they will probably be amazing, just don't do the mistake o' getting the hype up too much. It might let you down. And that would be a pity.
I am myself really hyped about Rock Band but I try to keep it down so taht I don't get disappointed, like I got a bit with Halo 2.

I've seen videos of Mass Effect and Assassins Creed and, to me, they look amazing. I'm sure you watched videos of Halo 3 and thought "Wow, that looks awesome". When I watched videos of Halo I thought that it didn't really look any different to the previous Halo's, I was expecting to think that anyway. You said "I'm not into those kind of games". If your not really into RPG's and everyone around you is, your bound to think your the only sane person and the other people are controlled by "hype". These two games have pretty much proved in every video they have released that they are not possesed by the all powerful hype. To me, Mass Effect and Assassins Creed is your Halo.

Also, the people who were hyped about Halo were expecting too much, it's Halo. They can add a couple of tweeks here and there but, it's still going to be Halo. Bungie won't remove things and implement new ones, if they did people would get ****ed off as it is not the same as the other Halo's they have grown to love.

Man, why is it that Halo comes up in every thread. Seriously people. You've finished the fight.....now lets move on to bigger and better things. Assassins Creed is definitley going to be next gen and I don't think it will dissapoint. It's not just trailers that prove this. Recent reviews from Game Informer have stated that GI had a chance to test the demo and "ONLY" got to play the demo for 5 hours of total gameplay, which they thought was a tease because the gameplay was amazing. I guess we as gamers will have to be the judge of that. It's been in production for 5 years This game has GOTY material stamped on it. Bioshock has GOTY material written all over it to. I mean, it did get a flawless 10/10 and H3 recieved a 9.75 because it was stated that ingame graphics and upclose images were pathetic to look at. Hey, that's just fom the review I read. Anyways...AC definitley has potential for GOTY.

I think there should be an option thats between "Best game of 2007" and "Just a normal game, nothing special".

I think it will be a great game and a contender for GOTY.
And about Halo 3, the only reason people rave about the game is because of all the advertising. People got so hyped up about the game and want to believe that they think its the best game ever.

Forge is nothing new. Far Cry had a full map editor where you can make new maps from scratch, terrain editing and all. I really don't see the attraction of Meta-game scoring, its not like it changes gameplay. The videos are my favorite feature of Halo 3, but its too much trouble to try to download other people's videos. If they made it like youtube, where you could browse videos, then that would be awesome.

it definitley wont win GoTY. Not with halo 3 CoD4 and mass effect. Those games garnish too much attention for an upstart like AC to receive GoTY honors. Not that its not worthy of the recognition. BTW those were terrible poll choices , you basically left us with either GoTY or saying it was a crappy game , which isnt the case , it can very well be a great game without winning GoTY honors. IMHO

This will be an amazing game, no one will argue about that, but not GOTY, I've seen the gameplay for it and it is a pretty glitchy, but will absolutely be a fan favorite (hell it already is). Bioshock is the game of the year imo but was released early so it will most likely be overlooked and underappreciated by the voters as GRAW was last year.

Game Of The Year is going to be a hard competition this year. The games would probably be Bioshock, Halo 3 ,COD 4, Assassin's Creed, and either Rock Band or GH3. At least for the 360.
