This game is a huge disappointment. I love the show and was hoping for the best with this one but it's pretty awful. Beyond that the achievements are brutal. I can't even conceive of spending enough time in multiplayer to get 5,000 kills. I played one ranked deathmatch, round was 5 minutes long, the winner had only 11 kills. That makes for a hell of a lot of play to get to 5000. The single player achievements seem like they might be a pain as well. 33 is easy enough (I should have had that one my first time through) but the Fratricide and especially Scar acheivements are brutal. Also I'm not sure when you should expect the 175 kill achieve, I didn't get it on one play through on normal. The game takes less than 40 minutes to beat on normal.

At least it's better than Wing Commander

Honestly, It's not all bad. It kind of reminds me of cosmic rift or continuum, which I used to be a big fan of.

Only problem is that some of the missions are a little... hard. And a little more depth wouldn't have hurt.

I also sense a BSG fan above me, hahaha.

I wish I digged it as much as you guys. I wish it had some of the personality of the show as well. Like the 33 level has none of the tension of Galactica needing to jump every 33 minutes; nor does the Scar level have any of the personality of Starbuck's fears of the face-off. It just, aside from graphics, doesn't really feel all that much like BSG. Like are Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber and Edward James Olmos too busy to provide a few voice clips each? Maybe even a little bit of context for the levels? Beyond that I can't stand the camera, it makes it so much harder to find and target Cylons than it should be.

So since I assume most people who bought this are Battlestar fans what do you think of that end of season twist?

Last season's cliffhanger was beyond awesome. Can't wait for it to come back.

And I agree, this game's very poor. At no point playing the game did I feel as though I was in the BSG universe (aside from seeing the video clip after beating the demo). Poor controls, boring gameplay, radar is very difficult to make out the direction things are (even on a HDTV), even though you're in outer space it has a 2D feel to it, etc, etc, etc.

And for this, they expect 800 points? I don't think so.

I myself, dont really like teh show (SG-1 :D) but i think this game is pretty decent for an arcade game. It may not shine where titles like Cloning Clyde, PuzzleQuest, Tetris, and others do, but it def. is not a horrible game.

I'd give it a straight 7/10..but thats just me.

Maybe that's why you didn't mind the game -- you didn't have any preconceptions or expectations for it. OTOH, BSG has a FANATICAL fan base (like most sci-fi shows) and as a result they expected a lot (myself included).
