I got mine when I killed the last named ace, which completed both assault records at the same time.

how do you actually get these...like is it named aces that YOU shoot down or what?

yes, on hard or higher difficulty, named aces will appear after fulfilling certain objectives in each map. Shoot them down, and you get them on the assault record + their plane color.

You do not have to be the one to shoot them down to get the record/color for it. Your allies can shoot them down for you. I'm not sure about the "Shooting down 10 named aircraft" achievement tho if you have to shoot them down or not.

you dont really have to do it on the hard or above i completed the game on easy and have gotten half of all of them like that but i'm sure for some of them u might have to do on hard bt you dont get any plane colors on easy

Those are the Strigon you got, they appear even in easy. The Named Aircraft are the last 15, one in each mission and appear in Expert and up.

You act like the game is hard. Once you unlock the CFA-44 Nosferatu, the game is essentially broken. I dominated on Ace difficulty with that plane, completing campaign in under two and a half hours, with S rank in 11 missions first run. So basically on Expert, with that plane, you barely have to even try.
