I absolutely love this game. There hasn't been a single Ace Combat game that I didn't like, though, so I'm biased. It feels so much better than a "standard" flight sim. Did you try the "other" control option? There's a "secondary" control type which uses the left stick for turning AND rolling, but personally I like the controls in the default setting.
