There are 420 flags to collect and 11 view points. There are 60 Templars throughout the game.
Flag Type Location No# to Collect
Assasin Masyaf 20
Hospitalier Acre ( Poor District) 33
Templar Acre ( Rich District) 34
Teutonic Acre ( Middle District) 33
Saracen Damascus ( All of the District) 100
King Richard Kingdom 100
Jerusalem Crosses Jerusalem 100
All 11 view points are square corner towers and very easy to spot. The best time to scale the towers is when you go thru Damascus, Acre and Jerusalem. By doing this early this will show the Kingdom's many trails.

I thought there were more than 11 view points throughout the game, and they all seem to be marked on the map.

I've found 16/20 flags so far in Maysaf (playing approx 20 min.) Anyone up to putting together a flag location post? I am convinced that there is a way to get behind the initial assassin fortress, from the courtyard (not via the obvious ladder), where more are located in this city. Any ideas on this theory? I'm already cringing at trying to find all of the other flags in the bigger cities :( Oh-well, something to look forward to.
Off-Topic: Is it just me or did the whole "I am a damn bartender from the future" thing **** people off at start? Surprised the hell out of me. Wondering if this is a set up for a franchise of future incarnations...

there are WAY more then 11 view points, i mean theres 12 in the kingdom area between cities
i got 20/20 flags for masyaf but would have no idea where they were to write a thread for it.
and in response to steve, di you get the two in the castle? when u go up the stairs to talk to the assassin leader you can go straight out into the castle courtyard and theres 2 out there. on top of the fountain and at the far back left corner.
Also two in the ropes area that you leap of faith down to at the beginning of the game. i know i personally ha missed them when i id it at the start so its always worth a second check

I have 18/20 in Masyaf as well and the last two are driving me insane.. I feel like I've been all over the place multiple times, yet I simply don't see where they could be. I'm pretty sure I've been everywhere you can go.. and if indeed I have, I must have missed the last two flags somehow. This is annoying me to the point where I don't want to keep playing before I get those two flags ;)
I won't be doing that in Damascus and Acre.. I'll just go with the flow and pick up flags as I go, but in Masyaf I really want to nail those last two flags before I move on. Argh.

You know when you walk upstairs in the library to meet your leader? Ok, when your going up the steps there's a gate closing off the garden. The last two are in the garden. That gate will not open until you reach a later Memory Block.
Here's something that is driving me crazy though. I'm on the road to Damascus and I stopped in those little villages to kill some Templars and collect some King Flags. There is 21 total out of 100 in this area. The official strategy guide says there is a flag by some wood, right where the first Templar is when you enter the first village. It's labeled number 49 for anyone who has the guide. Ok, that flag is not there. I've spent an hour looking in the spot and it's nowhere to be found. I have counted 21 flags in that little area and I have 20. I'm beggining to wonder if there's some kind of glitch.
Has anyone completed that area's flag locations and can help me with this please?

I love you! Thanks. Finally I can move on.. and I'm sorry I can't be of any help regarding your question. If I ever do find out, I'll come back and help you out (provided I figure it out and you still haven't gotten an answer, of course). Thanks again!

Hey, I was wondering if it were possible for you to scan the pages from the guide that map out where the flags are. I know a lot of people on here would be really grateful. Thanks so much.

I would, but I swear i'm having problems with my scanner/printer. No, it's not an exuse, it really is messed up. My father-in-law bought it for my wife and he didn't install it correctly or something. Not only that I tried to scan some photos for my myspace profile the other day and it was freezing up really bad. I think the scanner he got for us is just a piece of crap.
Sorry. I would if I could. If he'll come over in the next day or two and get it sorted out or bring us a new one, I will scan them. But for now, I have no way to. He buys stuff like this on the internet all the t ime so it's possible he might bring us a new scanner in the next day or two.

For all you guys with 18/20 in Maysaf after you do your first assasination of a leader. (might open after you go to another city, i didnt check back right away). You go back to your assasins guild leader and at that point the gate oposite his desk will have opened and there are 2 more flags out in the garden area. Hope that helps. If you are 18/20 and have those 2 already i cant help you :P. Just found mine by running around Maysaf and didnt record locations at all.

ok pretty much if you've found 18/20 when you are first in Masyaf progress throuqh the qame until you have slained Tamir and you will come back to Al Mualim. After the chit chat the door directly across from Al Mualim is now open. Go in there and qet the remaininq flags

How did you not know about that? This is supposedly the first game in a Trilogy so yes, it will become a franchise.
I actually thought it was handled very well. Giving you enough information as to set up your arrival in Altair's time but not enough information as to give away the purpose of it all.
Try doing some research next time you shell out your hard earned cash on a new game. Maybe read a review or two! General ignorance abounds!
I love how this thread was started by somebody telling us how many Flags, Templars and Viewpoints there are but how that information is wrong and how the game actually tells you how many of each you have and how many are left for collection. Idiots! 11 Viewpoints? Good one. Go back to your hole.

GO screw in a light bulb!! Yes, I know there are more than 11 Viewpoints but those 11 are the one's that will give that view to the connecting cities? Idiot!!

If anyone has the strategy guide(it's the ruins in the middle of the kingdom map about the same height as Jersulam and Acre text) or was able to get to this flag please tell me
I've tried jumping and it seems to just bump into the pillar without grabbing on. I'm aware I have to climb up higher and jump from the pillar that's a bit higher and you can see on the left.

I've dropped the question at Ubisoft Europe support so we'll see what they have to say, if they decide to respond. You never know with helpdesks :(

It's not a bug I got it.
If you have the glove juste jump to it from the other pilar and press the B buton to cath the edge of this pilar.
