Achievement difficulty

What are your thoughts on the achievements? How hard do you think they are?

Very true, they aren't "hard", but very timeconsuming with some of the flags and Templars. I'd give it a 3 mainly cause I'd put "time-consuming" as part of difficulty cause not everyone can sit around and collect things like some of us :) (patience is a skill)

I have to agree w/ CLAW3D.
I would also give it a 3.
It's not difficult, but some parts can be tedious.
Overall, I find this game as a bit of a break after dying 100 times on a mission w/o completion on Call of Duty 4.

i gave it a 3 purely on the flag achievements since if you don't have a map they can be VERY time consuming. otherwise game is fairly strait foward

one of the asiest game i've played on the 360 so far, not including FN round 3 ofcourse.. If it wasn't for the flags and templars I would without a doubt give this game a 1.. and seen as you most likely guide the flags and templars that's real easy too..
In conclusion, not the easiest game ever, but the second to easiest. 2/5.

same thing happened to me.. but when i realized i had missed some conversations with lucy i skipped doing the flags and templars in the kingdom.. (had already taken/killed a few before the guide was released) So instead of going thru all the trouble of finding out wich ones i'd missed or taken i just restarted the game so it'd feel like i had more to accomplish the second time around :p

I'll give the game overall a 2. Between most of the achievements being from the storyline, and a bunch of them being glitchy, the only ones that are a challenge are the flags and possibly the templars. Even then, those are more time-consuming then difficult

yer I really enjoyed the game but thought it was way to easy...i did it in about 12 hours (rough guess) took it back the monday after it came out although i think i was a bit hasty as i have now borrowed it off a m8 to try and finish off the more fun achievements. I didnt bother with the flags cos its very hard if u get a few random ones throughout the game and then follow a map. The problem is u dont know if u got the flag or u just cant find it lol. I started again and couldnt be bothered. I also left out the templars one mainly just cos its a pain to go round and kill 60 of em and also there i know guide on the net that i know of that shows their locations yet. Also if u have just got the game make sure u speak to Lucy at every time available cos there is a **** easy achievement just for talking to her. by the time i found this out it was too l8 :( Also alot of people didnt bother pressing a button when it glitches but that is also another **** easy achievement. All u have to do is get 80% of em but press it every time u see it and u should get it :D

I gave it a 3. For myself this is an average. If you have the guide and maps it's a 2, if not it's easily a 4.

I'm giving the game a 3...

in general it's easy towards the end you have to be fairly good with the fighting system and finding the flags plus getting the conversationalist and hungerer of knowledge achievements require you have patience and are through... so it gets a 3 from me.

probably about 20-30 hours worth of game flag collecting included.

I highly recommend starting your flag collecting on Memory block 3... collect all the flags in a section, work in the story a bit, then collect the flags in another section, work on the story a bit. It really breaks up the game and makes the flag collecting less daunting.

I also avoided the flags as much as possible while playing so I had 100% ready to collect when it came time which helped a lot.

it's not like Crackdown where you HAD to collect the orbs to improve your skills.

All I have left to get is the flags and about 20 more templars but the rest of the achievements are easy to get. I rated it a 2 just because they were pretty easy IMO just time consuming with the flags.

Definitely a game right in the middle of the difficulty pack: 3. It combines the simplicity of giving you most of your achievements as your progress through the game, with the annoying time consumption of hunting out pointless flags and templars. The first 800-900 pts will seem like cake. That last 100-200 will make you want to cut your wrist.

I give this game a 3 by virtue of the fact that not only is it time consuming, but quite a few of the flags and templars are listed in incorrect locations according to the strategy guide. Thankfully there are so many eager and committed people on this forum who are willing to take the time and correct what the bastards at Prima and Brady mess up. Keep up the good work guys!

You can get nearly all achievements just playing the game to completion - and that's not hard.

The only reason that i gave it 3 was because of the more time-consuming flag-achievements.

I don't think the achievements are difficult at all. The flag achievements are annoying and repetitive; but then agian so is the whole game.

I'd give it a 4. If you only play it for fun like me, it's very hard to unlock achievements without actually focusing on them. The flags are hard, and it all will take time.

Currently I'm on 130G, I'm aiming for 500.

yeah i give this a 4 because of the number of flags -420 (100 in Dem, Jer, King, 3acres, 20 Mayslaf) and 60 Templars is very time consuming not to mention the great possibility of messing up. To be honest sticking through the game is tough because it is extremely repetitive and can be boring.

I gave it a two. If you plan the ones that go right through the game like conversationalist and the one where you have to view 85% of the glitches, you can do the whole list in one run through, as I did. The most awkward bit was backtracking to find kingdom flags that I forgot to cross off the list I had to make. So the achievements are lengthy rather than hard.

Very easy to miss an achievement or two if you're not aware of their requirements when you start the game. Getting the flags and killing the templars is VERY tedious, but you can make it fun by listening to music to take your mind off the repetitiveness. I'd liken the flag collection to hidden packages in GTA3/VC/SA, only having to get 500 instead of 100 and getting absolutely no reward for it. Kinda stupid, but oh well.

All depends on if you consider time consuming a form of difficulty. The game itself is practically set on joke difficulty and the achievements aren't hard at all to complete but only take a long time to complete. Takes me about an hour to get all the flags in a city if I have those sweet interactive maps from one of the other threads. Anywho I had to restart the game to get conversationalist and I should have 1000/1000 in a few hours if I could bring myself to sit around for that long. I'm stuck on Halo 3 right now lol

I voted a 4 just b/c it would take a lifetime to find all the flags in the game. The fighting in the game is not all that hard, and the controls make it easy once you learn them, but for a full 1000 it's pretty time consuming.

3/5. Combat is all about timing so not too hard. Now the flags are another story. I spent 5 hours over the last two nights just in the Kingdom, using a guide and I have 98/100 so no achievement. I decided to try an easier one so I went to Acre Poor district, spent an hour there and now have 32/33 so once again it's very frustrating. I don't want to have to start this over.

I voted 3/5. None of the achievements are difficult, thanks to the great guides on this forum, but getting all the flags and killing every templer is very time consuming.

I would imagine that a lot of people would miss 'conversationalist' on their 1st play-through (me included), which would mean having to play through the game again, which again is time consuming.

Most of the achievements are pretty straight forward with the assassination and combat achievements. The only achievements that slowed me down were the flag and Templar achievements but there not that difficult, just time-consuming.

Easy achievements but you need patience and some time to play.

This one is a 3. I give a 1 to games like Avatar and CSI, 2 to games like King Kong and NBA 2k6, this one is a 3. Not too difficult, but does require some skill sometimes. Theres 480 collectibles, think about this before it enters the disk tray :)
