It's GOTY for me. I love just free-roaming in this. Climbing on top of the highest parts in the cities is really cool. The combat is a different approach from other games, but I like it. Too bad every other GOTY-worthy title is going to be shut out by Halo.

I'd say this game because its one of the only next-gen games out there. But this comes pretty close to bioshock. The master chief can go jump off a clif.

I don't know how anyone could say a game this shallow in terms of gameplay is GOTY material. For me it's gotta be CoD4, probably the most intense and enjoyable SP campaigns I've ever played.

AC is alright, but it has far too many huge flaws to get a GOTY crown.

I agree with COD4 (though missing COOP really hurts it).

This game is great but it has too many flaws for GOTY. I think the sequels may have a chance but sadly this one doesn't.

assassins creed is questionably the game of the year. in my opinion its a winner and an incredible game. It runs up with COD4, but assassins creed is a little better.

The game is very good, maybe great, but it stops there. the graphics are amazing and the gameplay is fun once the controls are mastered.....but the repetition of the info gathering holds it back from greatness. if the info gathering meant more when it actually came time to do the assassination then i would be more likely to do everything before the final hit. right now it is a bare minimum thing. i like roaming around and finding the viewpoints but it can become a chore after a while. but dont get me wrong, the game is sick - just not GOTY.

If you think AC should be game of the year... then I believe crackdown beats it in the free roaming department.

As for GOTY Call of Duty 4 has my vote as both single and multi player are thee best for the year.

I still stand by my choice for GOTY -CoD4. Not to say that I'm not impressed with AC, but CoD4 has the crown title written all over it. It dominates in the SP & MP department.

I love this game, but sadly, it gets quite repetitive. As for COD4, I have only played the first level, but I need to play the whole thing before it gets my vote. Right now the GOTY for me is Yaris(lol).
