View Full Version : Need Pointers in GIMP...

Here's my weak attempt to make a sig using GIMP.
I've never done any type of photoshop, and I have no clue what I'm doing.
Not sure how the lighting got so screwed up, but I'd like a few pointers.

Thanks for the links...
I'm still having a hard time, but I'm learning bit by bit.
Can't really figure out the transperancy thing, and my render gets screwed up in the process.

try using multiple layers for everything thats what i do to avoid messin up the render

I do use multiple layers.
I think my problem is that I don't know how to make a render.
All I did, was I took a picture of my car, and then I opened it in paint. Then I zoomed in and colored the entire background in white.
Then I opened the image up in Gimp and I choose "Color to Alpha" and I select the white background as my Alpha.
I just figured that that was how I make a render...
If it's not, any pointers would help!!!
