NFL - Warrick Dunn. One of the greatest running backs, in my opinion.
NHL - Wow, this is hard. I'd have to say Mike Richter. I was so upset when he retired. Number 35, you're missed.
MLB - Hmmm...Not like I can say much. I'm not that big of a baseball fan. But, I'd have to say Jorge Posada.
As for Gretzky being the "greatest" I'd have to disagree. He was real good on the Kings. But, when he got to NY, he sucked badly. Messier was always a better hockey player, in my opinion.
Tim Tebow plays every sport.

I have to say that my favorite all time player is Dan Marino. What skill and pinache. Definately was deserving of a super bowl win. As for the current, i would have to say that Tim Tebow is shaping up to be one heck of a star.

i wish people here would stop being so biased...
football- Steve Young (one of the most overlooked quarterbacks)
basketball- Michael Jordan
baseball- Ken Griffey Jr. (if it werent for his string of injuries with the Reds, he would be competing for the home run record as we speak)
hockey- none lololololol
i would have said Jim Brown and Wilt Chamberlain if i wanted to be original, but they never had to face the athleticism that today's generation of athletes face. Jim Brown had a huge YPR average because no one was good enough to stop him. this is the same reason Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points.

Are we talking in games or in real life?
in real life it has to be Michael Jordan. Nobody was a dominant to watch in basketball imo. GOAT.
in games.....
FOOTBALL: michael bennett in madden 04. Sub him in and run away from people with his 99 speed 99 acceleration.
BASKETBALL: ben gordon in nba2k7. I loved the gantasy draft leagues in this game, and I always got ben gordon aka mini kobe. stud.
BASEBALL: jim edmonds/tony womack in mvp baseball 04. Played a season on hardest difficulty, hit 91 homers with edmonds, 122 with womack. loved that game.
HOCKEY: Sidney Crosby in NHL 2K7. haven't played many hockey games, though.
now as far as favorite in all sports in real life:
BASEBALL: a tie between Ozzie Smith and Albert Pujols. Two class acts with a class organization.
FOOTBALL: Michael Irvin (on the field only), I was just a kid when my parents got me his jersey for christmas (before the coke stuff), and I fell in love with the cowboys.
BASKETBALL: Jordan of course, but a close second is Alonzo Mourning
HOCKEY: Mario Lemieux, even though I don't watch much hockey.
