What I don't understand is why so many people hate the Pats. If you hate the Pats.. you might as well hate the NFL because they are the best team in it and possibly the best of all time.

I don't know if people are jealous or just have sand in their vagina.. either way don't hate the Pats because they've pretty much perfected the game.

It's not so much that I hate the Pats or any of their players, it's just the thought of watching Tom Brady and the rest of them celebrate after winning ANOTHER Super Bowl is about as appealing as watching someone slowly cutting of my nuts. I like the underdog teams, it's the same for any sport, after the Bulls and Lakers won their consecutive chips, I really just wanted to see some new teams and players get a ring.

Yea the Chargers don't really have a chance but then again they weren't supposed to beat Indy. Look like my pick was right Packers and Patriots should be a great superbowl if it holds up.

They're a team with a lot of talent. They're pretty good but they don't match the 1972 Dolphins. THe Dolphins went through the season with their back-up QB and they didn't have all the pills and protein crap you have now. I am not saying that Pats are not good because I personally think that they're outstanding but they are not as good as the 1972 Dolphins.

The only reason you like the Dolphins better is because you are from Florida. Players currently in the NFL may have advantages between workouts and pills and etcetera, but ever other team and player has the same advantage so it ends up equaling out. I may hate the Patriots, and would like to see them get beat, but you are very wrong with that post. Every game the Dolphins played the other team had a losing record. 99% of teams since 1950 have had a harder overall schedule than the '72 Dolphins. The average winning percentage of the Dolphins' opponents was .396%. Not to mention, only a 13 game season. Plus they were the underdog in the Super Bowl by 14 points. The ONLY thing I give the Dolphins over the Patriots is that they didn't have to cheat to win.

Yeah you can't say that the '72 Dolphins were more impressive. I'm not gonna beat a dead dog but dsella is right.. the Dolphins played crap teams in 1972.

Dolphins Opponents: 70-122-4
Winning Percentage: .357

Patriots Opponents: 94-89
Winning Percentage: .514

The '72 Dolphins were out-passed 4,731 to 2,235.
Larry Csonka > Laurence Maroney. 2,960 to 1,849.

None of the teams the Dolphins played in 1972 made the playoffs. The Patriots played 6 teams in this year's playoff bracket (Pittsburgh, New York, Dallas, Indianapolis, San Diego, and Washington).

The Patriots broke NFL offensive records. The Dolphins were GREAT on defense.

I'm not trying to detract from the accomplishments of the 1972 Dolphins. I believe they were an excellent team. Second best in the history of the game in fact.

Naturally.. none of this matters unless we take the Super Bowl. I'm fairly confident that we can do it this year. We're not gonna be jipped by cheap ass officiating in the AFC Championship this time because we aren't playing the Colts.

EDIT: Woops, I said I wasn't gonna beat a dead horse. ;)

I would like to point out that this season vindicated the Patriots after "Spygate." Alright, so they caught us videotaping signals. Is anybody sure that NOBODY else does it? Fat chance.

So the Pats were exposed. And they still beat everybody. So I don't want to hear "they had to cheat to win" anymore. It's getting ****ing old and it's irrelevant at this point.

See you in Arizona.

Now, i'm not necessarly saying this WILL happen, but i'm a realist.

I'm also a die hard Green Bay fan. If the Packers make it to the Super Bowl, I won't be surprised if they get a few calls thrown their way. It would be on of those historical games where the Pack would come in as heavy underdogs (of course, both the Pack and the Giants would come in that way) but the Pack had the resurgence this year. They became a very dominant team in the NFC and a lot of that comes from Brett Favre.

I think a majority of people would love to see Brett come in, do the unthinkable, beat the Pats and walk away with a Super Bowl ring. This probably includes some referees.

Maybe it'll be called right down the middle, but i'm just saying that I wouldn't be surprised if a few minor calls (yet possible game changers) go to the Pack.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me either.

Did anybody watch the Week 9 game between Indy and NE? Absolute balls officiating. Reggie Wayne tackled one of our DBs and they called it defensive pass interference. That type of thing happened on more than one occasion.

They did it last week against San Diego too. When that holding call was made against Weddle during the interception I was ****ED. It wasn't even close to holding, but you've gotta favor the Colts, right?
