yeah, these are like my 5th-8th proper sigs/Logos, and I'm proud.

1. Dance-o-meter
http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd293/mercilesstengo/Dance-o-meter.jpg
For my I.T coursework, completly unessecary (SP?) But I think It'll get me some extra marks, oh and getting my classmates to buy some.
This is my last sig using basic tools.
and my first attempts at grunge - The quick and easy paint it straight onto the top layer type of grunge not the one which is build up by layers upon layer (Seen in Da Ding!)

2. Da Ding!

Not happy with this one, it was just learning to grunge, and I quickly just slapped on the text to finish it off.
See "Get Down with sickness" for a better creation using the same grunge method

3. Feuer Frie
http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd293/mercilesstengo/FeuerFrie.jpg
This is another step into learning how to use more advanced tools so is really just me learning to create Fire and using Script-fu. Inspired by "Feuer Frie" - Rammstein

4. Streets of London
http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd293/mercilesstengo/StreetsofLondon.jpg
I'm happy with this, once again a learning of a tool thing but one that came out pretty decent.
*WARNING*
This will not come out well if your monitor's contrast setting is too high.
it looks fine on my laptop, but not on CRT monitors.
I have made a brighter one here, But have not tested it out yet.

5. Get down with the Sickness

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd293/mercilesstengo/GetDownwiththesickness.jpg
Inspired by the song "Get down with the sickness" by the disturbed
My final sig in my weekend of sig making, This is made using the techniques learnt from Da Ding!, but Improved on and much better. Oh and yes I realise its a bit "Heavy" but that's the effect I wanted,
Plus this wasn't just a learning thing, more of a real crack at doing a good sig.

any comments and stuff would be luverly, any requests or requests for me to teach you any techniques are welcomed (And free for ALL you guys!)

Save them as something such as PNG instead of JPG. ;)

PNG is best quality, and allows for transparent layers as well. ALWAYS do a Save As when saving PNG. You must save TWICE! This is important because if you over write your original in PNG format, it will only show the finished product. To save your work and keep the layers, save as PSD.

PNG = One, full, high quality pic.
PSD = Layers.
Got it?

Do a 'Save As' one time as PSD.
Do a 'Save As' again as PNG.

PSD is the file format that allows your photoshop creations to keep their layers when you go to open it again. PNG doesn't allow this, but you can't upload PSD to sites like photobucket.

Understand now?

I don't use PS, I use GIMP.

so PSD would be sort of useless wouldn't it?

plus you're original post had the formats in the wrong saving order. that's what confuzzled me

I've started using .PNG

I just don't get the point on saving it as .PSD or .XCF, If i want to use the image again as a template or something, I will save it in my template folder in .xcf fromat
