First order of business.
Partriots 18-1
Giants - Superbowl Champions!
Just wanted to make that clear. Now with that new, or old for most people, information, "I'd like to a minute, just sit right there (and I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town named Bel-air)", to talk about the Superbowl this year. This thread is entirely donated to this year's Superbowl and therefore is open to any and all kinds of Pics, Vids, Articles or anything else you can scrounge on or off of the internet you think is either interesting, post-worthy or whatever! Basically, I'm trying to create a SuperBowl XLII discussion thread.
I'll start it off by saying the two things that are stuck in my head the most. The Giant's ending few plays that won them the game were nothing short of extrordinary. Both teams showed up this evening to kick ass, and that's how it went the entire game. Expectations were high for the Partriots, and they were a little too short. My MVP of the game, Eli Manning. He played an outstanding game and proved himself while under the pressure of 4 Patriots, scrambled out of the pocket and went long for an amazing 1st down completion. Then, right after that threw the game winning TD pass straight into the Pats' endzone. Stroke of brilliance and a touch of luck. The biggest upset in history.
What did you guys think of the game?
MVP?
Best Jack-up? Mine was at the end of the game on Tom Brady. Have it saved to my phone and all. :D

Since when do we have an... oh :p .... my bad.
Completely agreed. One of my best friends of all time was like in tears after that game. Big Pats fan and I'm an Eagles fan. I just didn't want the Pats to win, I love the underdog. Good news is that she was laughing again in about 5 minutes of being around me so it's all good.
...Tom Brady... what a joke. Lmao.

Now that I live in PA, I'm scared to say I hate the Eagles. I'll get trampled. Especially, with my "New Yawk Accent."
The Giants did amazing. That last touchdown of the game, when Manning lobbed it, was EXTRAORDINARY. That was one of the greatest passes/catches, ever. Right over the defenders head. Beautiful.
Congratulations, Giants. Well deserved.

Ugh, Giants defense were on fire and destroyed Brady. It was a close game and both teams played very well, but I got to admit Giants played a little more aggressively. What a disappointment.

I couldn't agree more.
What a game. The Giants defensive side were kicking Brady's teeth in...literally. The Pats had it, but what a play by Manning.

I only caught the 3rd and 4th quarters but goddayum. The Pats just looked outplayed. Brady started making some silly mistakes which i think lost them alot of yardage at times.
The last play by Manning was just game worthy. Such perfection. I must say, i wanted the Pats to win. All credit to the Giants though, they outplayed the Pats on the night.

I am not a sports fan, and so I had no reason to root for either team. So after a little research, I discovered that the Patriots stadium was completely privately funded, while the Giants stadium was largely subsidized by taxpayer money. So, I picked Team Capitalism (Patriots) over Team Socialism (Giants).
And I got screwed. Luckily, I couldn't care less...

That Manning scramble play was **** luck. He should've been sacked 3 or 4 times and then his throw was pitiful, right into the middle of the defense. I don't even know how that guy caught it. Another inch farther away from his body and the ball falls to the ground.

Lol, even though I know it was true, turns out the Opposite happened instead. Gotta love that play. I've got it on my phone and did nothing, but rub it in my friend's face (she's a Pats fan ;) ). I must say, though, I was reading two articles in the newspaper today and I do think the media is going pretty hard on them. The one guy was really acting like the Pats barely even deserved to be there, even though they practically crushed half the teams in the league. Some games were close, but 18-1 may not be perfect, but is pretty damn good in my book, tbh.

I'm all cool until that statement. You can accuse the Patriots of blowing it, but when you accuse a former Michigan Quarterback thats when you stir the nest. He played a fine game no INT's and the potential game winner to Moss. I believe Eli had an INT so if I had money on who played better I'd say Brady, if only he had an O-Line...

I hate both teams being a die hard Eagles fan but, I really, really hate the Giants. But in some weird way I'm glad the Giants won but I guess that's because I hate Bill Bilichek. He gives off the impression that he is better then everyone else. I also always root for the underdog unless the underdog team is playing a Philly team.

lol , at alot of the comments in this thread...This Years Superbowl ...Reminded Me Alot Of Last Years NBA Finals..When The CAVALIERS Made It To The Finals.....It Was a Fluke..
You Ever Heard The Saying " 9 Times Out Of 10 " ..The Giants Would Lose That Game 9 Times Out Of 10 ....They Got Lucky.
Just Look Out Next Year....After The Patriots acquire Zach Thomas And Use That 7th Pick To Get Another Anchor On Defense..Probably A CB.
Im Not A Pats Fan..But You Can't Take Away From Them...Or Tom Brady..
LMAO at whoever Said " He Blew It , What A Joke " ...hahahahaha....
Tom Brady Is Insane....But...Not Enough Credit Is Given To His O-Line.
