Yeah, and don't forget about Ariza. If lakers don't make it, then it will probably be either the suns or the spurs. Suns weren't capable of winning a championship before, but now that they got a big man, they have a chance now. As for the spurs, they may not have that great of a season, but they are still a team you do not want to play against in the playoffs. San Antonio plays defense and defense wins championships. As for the east, don't forget about the pistons. Pistons give boston a hard time. Pistons have a stronger backcourt and they have a stronger bench than the celtics, but celtics have those three guys. It would be a good series and could go either way if they were to meet in the playoffs ( which I'm sure they will ). With the acquisition of Big Ben and Wally Szczerbiak, I'm kind of interested to see how the cavs do. It will certainly make em' a better team but I still doubt that they make the finals, but you never know.

I saw a little bit of it. Celts couldn't make a shot. The suns didn't play great either. They had all those turnovers but the celts didn't take advantage of it. Lets see how the suns do against the pistons.

Good luck with that Celtics thing. Cavs have already beat your Celtics 2 out of 3 meetings, plus, look at the new team. ;):D

The Cavs don't have any chance of making it to the Finals. Thier new team ain't any better than the old one. You are right about the Celtics, they won't make it either.

Spurs vs. Detroit pistons. Secondary choice, Lakers vs. Cavs"only if Lebron plays like he did in last year's playoffs".

Thier not, Ben Wallace is so overated, he can't score if his life depended on it and he's not the dominant defensive he used to be. Wally Szczerbiak is just a streaky shooter. Delonte West is a backup PG at best should be a backup because of Daniel Gibson. Joe Smith is just a real old player. LeBron James is the only real threat on the Cavs. Also congrats to LeBron on being the youngest player to 10,000 career points!

well u can make that 2 of the last 4 meetings now

The new team really cant match up with us
K.G. over Wallace
Allen over Wally
Bron over Pierce

MUCH RESPECT to Bron Bron - Youngest player to score 10,000 points. With many more records to be broken in the future. He's the best NBA player in this Decade.

Hate to tell ya but Joe Smith is not just an old player, he has a veteran presence in the locker room which is integral to a championship run, and he has a great mid range jumpshot. With Lebron drawing double and triple teams, having guys like Wally and Joe Smith could be an asset to the Cavs. I'm not saying they are going to make the finals, but with Lebron anything is possible.

Ben Wallace is overrated, but still very good. He could be as good as he once was on D, he just doesn't give it his all. I went to the Magic vs. Cavs game when I was down in Orlando, and he barely jumped for rebounds. Now, Dwight Howard..yeesh is he a monster. Delonte West is not just a backup point guard, but as of now, he is to Boobie. Wally definitely lost his 3 point range, and is nowhere near as good as he was on the Timberwolves. Joe Smith was the first pick of his draft, and he was a stiff. Just like another Cleveland teammate, Tim Couch! :p Anyway, LeBron and Z are, as of now, the only REAL threats. I am sure in the playoffs Ben would step it up some.

I really thought we were being serious here...

Semis:

Lakers v. Spurs
Celtics v. Pistons

Finals:

Celtics v. Spurs (Spurs win in 5... defence baby!)

I think Pistons are a better team than the C's but I really think that they'll lose in 6... and as for the West...

Spurs all the way... you got Duncan and a healthy Parker... Finley has been on fire recently (I hope it goes on the next 3 months)... and Ginobili (HOE MIE GAWD!)... but that's not to say that Lakers won't put up a good fight because Gasol is a beast! and Kobe.... just Kobe... I don't need to say anything else....

Los Angeles Lakers vs. San Antonio Spurs (Lakers in 6)

Eastern Conference:

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics (Celtics in 5)

NBA Finals:

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Boston Celtics (Celtics in 7)

It's not what I want to happen, being a Cavs fan but it's what I think will happen.

I took you seriously until you said "I hope it goes on the next three months," because it will be the offseason and the most Michael Finley will be doing is playing with his kids.

Cavs fan from Scotland? Hell yeah! Anyway, this is around what I see the bracket looking like. Although the Spurs are a playoff team, I am not sure they have what it takes to surpass the Lakers/Hornets(teams I think that will make it to the Western conference championships).

I actually like LeBron (I have his jersey), Ben, Big Z...but overall the cavs suck, they're the Cleveland LeBrons. He IS the team. I think they were one of the worst teams ever to make it to the finals last year. And I'm sorry if I sound like I'm bashing the team...well I guess I am.

I predicted lakers vs. celtics, so let's see if that still happens, the east playoffs have been much better than I expected.

Suns are out... and Horry didn't even put Nash in his place this year (no matter how much I yelled for it to happen)...

I said Spurs vs. Lakers and Celtics vs. Pistons... and so far I'm right on...

NO is a GREAT team and Chris Paul is a MONSTER (*I hate the CP3 nickname) but the real thing that worries me is the Hawks and the 76er's...

and really I think the Magic are coming out of the east... if those two TOP EAST teams can't put away the "minor leauge" teams how can they deal with Hedo (former Spur by the way) and Howard? Really...

smoothoap33

The Suns would have beat the Spurs last season were it not for those stupid suspensions. I think NO is a better team than the ORL but that would make an interesting Finals. I'm sick of the DET and SAS always I want NO or LAL vs. ORL or BOS.

you were dead on. i initially said the obvious (lakers vs. celtics), but once i saw the celtics' weakness on the road, i decided that the pistons would beat them. now i have the lakers vs. pistons. lakers will win it all.

Everyone says that the Celtics have trouble winning on the road. First of all, they don't need to, they had the best record in the NBA which means that they have Home-Court Advantage throughout the playoffs. Another thing, they beat Detroit in Detroit for game 3 or 4 I can't remember which one. So it doesn't really matter.

yes i understand that, but the point is that they got lucky they were able to win a road game otherwise this series would be Detroit's for the taking. and i guess, now the celtics look like they're gonna be able to win this series (even though i wouldn't doubt Detroit's chances), but i think their luck will run out in the finals against the Lakers (still an assumption, but they are leading 3-1). it took them 7 games to beat the hawks!!! any other team would have beat them in 6 or less games. i know they smacked em around in game 7, but seriously it's a major team flaw to have that much trouble on the road. they need to get better on the road now if they wanna win it all.

They didn't care about the Hawks - they underestimated them so ATL gave BOS a little scare. When they have needed to win, they have, and they will. And again, if they win every home game then they'll win the championship. Yea it won't seem as nice since they couldn't get it done on the road, but do you think Celtics fans care? A championship is a championship, and I'll take it anyway it happens
GO HEAT!!! lol im from (MIA)

lol the HEAT... talk about one of the worst teams of all time (at least this past season)... but you guys will get derrick rose/michael beasley in the draft... most likely rose because thats who you need and the bulls will most likely take beasley.

I don't think luck had anything to do with it, they felt the urgency and did what had to be done. Also, don't forget that the Celtics beat the Lakers both times they played each other in the regular season.

I want the Celtics to win and I think they will, but regular season does not matter at all. The year the heat won the championship they were terrible in the regular season agains the top teams (Spurs, Mavs, Suns, Pistons), so I don't think it matter that the Celtics beat them both times in the reg season. And as hookedonebonics said they didn't have gasol.
